Barton on a free?

Discussion in 'Arsenal' started by PINKIE, Aug 1, 2011.

  1. I think everyone deserves a second chance. Perhaps a third too if the second one gets derailed. If Joey Barton is seriously making an effort to change then I see no problem to him being under consideration. It would make financial sense for most clubs I think and certainly Arsenal who need a dose of steel in their ranks. I'm not entirely comfortable but the choice is Arsene's. If he gets the nod, I hope there will be a clause in his contract with very tight parameters on conduct both on and off the pitch. Otherwise he can forget about putting on an Arsenal shirt.

    You're a little deluded Sir.

As much as I'm willing to admit our squad is not enough to win the league because :

a). We have no defensive cover, we lack a ballwinner at the back and our second choice keeper is awful.
b). RVP is our only World Class striker and lets face it - he's unlikley to make it through a full Season without injury.

But our midfield??... Its the best in the league.

    Stats back this up also.

    1. Fabregas may still stay and he's statistically the most creative player in the league. (creates a chance from open play every 29 mins more than any other player in England, france, Germany or even Spain.
    2. Then there's Arshavin apparently he had a bad Season: 18 assists and 10 Goals.
    3. Samir Nasri: 13 goals and 8 Assists.
    4. Theo Walcott missed three months still got 10 goals 6 assists.
    5. Jack Wilshere.
    7. Alex Song. Made more tackles than any other midfielder last Season.
    6. On top of that we still have Aaron Ramsey, Abou Diaby and Thomas Rosicky in our squad.

The Bear - are you on drugs man ??

    Stats ? PAH.

Denilson was the best midfielder in the league season before last based on passing stats.

Our midfield is weak and cannot defend. Offensively they are good but lack a killer instinct along with our strikers, they'd rather pass than shoot at the edge of the box. They don't track back and we get caned on the break.

Best midfield in the league how ??? Poppycock bloke !
