Doesn't surprise me, a couple of months back when it was my birthday he put up a message asking people to send him requests, sent him one got no replies and 10 minutes later he's tweeting that too many people were sending him requests.

Highlight of my season if Tiote breaks him in half, kisses his badge, then eats him.

Think that was Barton trying to save grace with Newcastle fans I really don't think Quinn offered him more than 70k wages.

I really wish i lived up Newcastle, just so i could watch them every home game!
Must be great, and i am truly jealous.

I tend to go up twice a year as im from Devon.

Either way, whoever is playing for us, i'll still go twice a year. I love the toon!

Would have been seriously annoyed. But it is extremely unlikely that this 'would have been lynched' club was actually true, just more PR spin to try maintain some face in leaving.

Barton should shut the hell up - but we all know he won't and expected this sort of crap lets be honest. Still, there's absolutely no need for him to keep spouting **** like that - same as Enrique except Enrique seemed to do it with his usual air of naive idiocy as opposed to Barton's obvious vindictiveness.

Sounds great! Jealous. Just got back from Leeds Fest, 4 quid a pint, **** that. <doh> From there to Manchester. Raining a lot of the time. Kinda the opposite, really.

Precisely! Doubt any of us would stop supporting the club if a couple of our players left. I'd be sorely gutted, I must admit, but I'd still support the team! No matter what!

One point of note. Barton's background on twitter is him wearing the captain's armband for Newcastle...

No clue what it means, but conspiracy theorists have fun :D

  16. Can't be arsed to think about this right now, i just want to focus on the next game, but if he's right and all those players do leave, i'm never going back to SJP until Mike Ashley's gone.

I'll take a leaf out of the mackems book and watch the matches at my local <ok>

To be fair to Enrique he only tweeted once, then deleted his account, and the only thing he said after he left was thanks to the fans.

Barton has just been a dickhead.

Joey Barton was, along with Collicini and Tiote, our consistently best player last season. But if we can just cast our minds back a little...

He cost £5.8mil in 2007 (when he was hopelessly damaged goods) played poorly for the 'til Christmas when he viciously assaulted two passers-by in a drunken frenzy when on bail for 2 previous assaults. As a result he spent the rest of the season incarcerated, damaging NUFC's reputation in the process.

At the beginning of season 2008-9 he was suspended by the FA for 6 games for an earlier assault. On return from suspension, Barton was involved in more controversy - including allegations of racist remarks during a match - before missing the remainder of the season (except for a couple of matches, including one when he was sent off for dangerous play) with injury. Remember all this happened at a time when we desperately needed him for our relegation battle; needless to say, with Barton at our club, many neutral observers and fans of other clubs weren't upset by our demise. The season ended with his questioning the authority of club legend and temporary manager, Alan Shearer.

Barton missed most of the 2009-10 Championship season through injury.

In 2010-11 Barton finally came good. There were a couple of controversial incidents, but he played consistently well and was injury-free.

August 2011, has been notable only for his new addiction - tweeting and massaging his ego in public; this shows no sign of abating even though he's now been moved to that enormous and historic club, QPR.

So, in 4 years at the club Barton had one excellent season and three truly shocking seasons. From the day he joined us in 2007 - on the anniversary of the French Revolution, no less - until April 2010, he was unquestionably the worst buy in the history of the Premier League. A highly talented player, he is an insecure, but articulate, maniac who courts controversy at every step. At times he comes across as a loveable rogue, but you don't have to look too far back into his CV to see that he's rather worse than that. Is he a reformed character? Well, kicking alcohol appears to have made him less dangerous. And the damage he's done to the reputation of Newcastle United over the past 50 months is incalculable.

On almost any level his transfer to NUFC was a shambolic error of judgement by Sam Allardyce and, true to form, Freddy Shepherd.

    I really hate Joey Barton

I know that Jonas and Colo will leave - its obvious and if there is big bids for other players then they will sell

Joey, we know!! We are not stupid

**** off and get on playing for your mediocre football team who you will do **** all with. Bet Warnock is sick of the **** already
