Depends who you mean........ If it is the same one, then i can only assume you are prone to vast exaggeration, as he only got one thing wrong. He rarely says much, but is almost always spot on. People who slag twitter off crack me up! It's no different to most forums, such as this one, and even news outlets including the daily papers!! As it seems Barton hasn't travelled to Devon with the rest of the squad, you would have to say this bit of news is probably spot on.........
I'm talking about "@OldBigHead1" or "@TheSourceFooty" as he used to be called. The guy is full of garbage and has never got a genuine "scoop" in his life. Initially i was a complete convert, particularly during the window when we were linked with M'Vila + Etienne Capoue etc. His credentials slowly unraveled as he tweeted snippets as if they were fresh and new- yet with a bit of digging there was always a preceding news article an hour or two prior. I think he browses forums + spews stuff written by other apocryphal "sources" as if it's gospel as well. I've just had a browse through his recent tweets and they all seem to fit the same mould as the old ones. "Seems a compromise has been reached between the club and Barton. As i said along. Many will be happy he is gone. #qpr" Anybody could have written that. Barton has repeatedly said he doesn't want to stay- so it was always 90% likely he'd leave. We'll never really know the details of the deal he gets on his departure, so the source can always stick to his assertion that he "understand a compromise was reached" (which is hardly unheard of when it comes to footballing agreements). The lovely trite "many will be happy he is gone" is another stamp of the twitter ITK'er. All non committal vagueness. I'm not opposed to twitter at all, i follow the entire team/staff + it's a great asset to fans wishing to keep abreast of the news
Really? Well he definitely doesn't run an "accounts firm", there's no way that would account for the things he claims to know. Here's birch's twitter: https://twitter.com/marcbircham The writing style doesn't match to me. If all you guys attest to TheSource though i'll re-follow him though, maybe i was being overly harsh the first time round. As far as i can tell he has very few genuine "hits" though, and just puts out a load of "barnum statements" in the way a Medium does whilst cold reading. He glosses over inaccuracies/falsehoods + draws attention to his few tweets that corroborate with what the general press says
Good old Cerny, Secrey Squirrel, whatever his next moniker will be.... A legend on these boards. Gone [for now anyway] but never forgotten. Hopefully he will be back soon to brighten everyone up with his mystic meg charm. I would hazard a prediction as to when, but I've never been one for these ITK claims. Best to leave it to the experts..... like Cerny.
A legend in whose eyes sku ?? Most on here thought he was a right attention seeking tw** who just wanted people to think he was an ITK, when in fact all he did was repeat stories from papers and other forums and claim them as his own. Then again maybe it's just me who thought that..........
Spot on Staines, it's a lot more tolerable around these parts these days! I can't say i miss the guy's daily updates on the minutiae of his life either.
Marseille are unsure if Queens Park Rangers' Joey Barton will return to the club By Patrick Haond. Last Updated: July 8, 2013 1:18pm Joey Barton: Facing an uncertain future Barton has expressed his desire to rejoin Marseille after a successful spell on loan at Stade Velodrome last season. Marseille are thought to be keen on signing Barton on a permanent basis if he can free himself up from QPR by cancelling his contract at Loftus Road. Baup admits Marseille and Barton have agreed a deal, but says everything depends on QPR with the 30-year-old still having two years to run on his contract in London. "Joey Barton's comeback? I do not know how it will evolve," Baup told L'Equipe. "The club and the player agreed about the challenge ahead, but he still belongs to QPR." http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11711/8813478?
Ahhhhhhh but nines, TheSource is ITK. This Marseille coach guy can't hope to have the same vast depth of knowledge regarding QPR. Clearly Barton has already severed his contract with the club...but nobody knows about it yet, apart from an elite few. When Barton inevitably finally leaves in a couple of weeks, TheSource will tweet that the deal was actually done ages ago (when he reported on it), and the press are simply behind him.
Cerny as it was proven knew **** all about **** all and I doubt if he ever went to watch a game a Loftus Road. I would openly welcome try and help the man and take him to a game but alas there is something very weird about his involvement ... Has anyone ever met him? .... Talking of expelled people Hope Swords returns ... I like him
Cerny, in his few self effacing moments, was entertaining, as was Swords. Sadly those days were far outweighed by both of their soapbox days....
Look please stop posting to this thread...each time it appears high up I assume HE HAS GONE But he hasn't
