At the end of the day BF is right. Tango & Cash are a disgrace. Nobody is going to be keen to come in to the club while all this unrest is going on behind the scenes. Meanwhile we will continue to lose possible players. What concerns me even more is that the current players are being treated unprofessionally as these two back off from honouring agreements with players and the manager - this will diminish all the team atmosphere and comoraderie that has circulated around the squad and club - and further down to the fans. It's all coming apart at the seams... where will it end!??!?!?
SW - Haven't you cottoned on yet mate? This is QPR, it never ends. The Rollercoaster just loops, dips and soars and we my friend are mere passengers upon the hooped express. Take a step back, relax (have a cup of tea by all means) and go with it. I walked the dog this morning at half six in my black & red binatone away top. Glorious morning and WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE! Players will sign, we will win some games, lose some possibly get a few draws, life will continue and QPR will always be one step from the looney bin. Surely thats how we like it?
Like a breath of fresh air reading your posts WBA2. A little bit of detachment is the key to getting through this fog. QPR will still be there at the end of all this, ready for the next episode of Neverenders.
Indeed Twins. It continually amuses me that people here base their angst upon half truths, rumour and complete fabrication. We cannot influence Bernie & Flav surely that's obvious? There are wars in Afganistan & Libya, America is in a period of sustained economic decline (some would say a hegemonic decline!!) and I am having a bowl of porridge with pickled figs & walnuts at my desk for breakfast. Everything has its place in the Universe and QPR ranks high on my personal agenda but ultimately today's lunch & glass of sancerre are on an equal footing.
Correct as usual WBA. Only thing is i've waited 15 years to get back in the big time. and I'm really frustrated at seeing the clowns in charge **** things up just at the time when it looks like we have a chance.
I'm with you on that WBA2_QPR3 what's on the menu today? Do you prepare them yourself? You must lob an old recipe on here and we can all give it a try.
WBA, Sancerre is indeed a fine Vino, however, I do have my doubts that you stick to just "a glass". It is advisable not to over indulge in such an activity as the effect on the mind can lead to an ultra optimistic "everything is rosy" perception of reality. And as we all know, such is NOT the case at our beloved Club. So ease off a little on the grapes, good buddy, because judging by your posts I would say you are in a permanent state of semi-intoxication.
Just back from a Jaunt in the Peaks but the mood around here seems darker than ever. I picked up a nice homemade game pie in Bakewell and about to tuck in now with a side of pickle. Swords - I'm sure if I googled it I could find an Italian / Spanish / French medical survey the results of which conclude a glass or 3 a day improves the health leading to a longer life. Unfortunately with a couple of meetings this afternoon I will stick to a mere glass. Anyway, of more important matters - has anyone bought or sold the club or any playing stock whilst I've been out?
Thank you most sancerrely ;-) However, WBA's sentiments are valid. There must be a LOT going on behind the scenes and we can control none of it. So crack open a bottle, tinny or wander down the Pub 'cos life's too short. We were QPR before, we are QPR now and we'll be QPR in the future. Now where's that corkscrew.....?
I'm heavy enough as it is so that's not a problem. Taraabt will probably go soon; the Goons will take the profit; no spending until a takeover is agreed; suddenly there's a spending spree and a general feeling of joie de vivre will ensue. Or perhaps that's just my hallucinations here on holiday in Bordeaux where the only whines come in 750ml bottles.
Chateau Talbot? Thought that was a Port ;-) Pont L'Eveque - now you're talking. Again, look on the bright side. We haven't got to pay a tea-lady's wages. At least that'll give Hulse something to do pre-season.
