Delighted that we've signed someone of note, but refuse to get carried away. I really worry about our defending. Whilst Douglas, Ayling et al are marauding in attack mode, we'll be exposing our 2 CBs to breakaway attacks & that seriously worries me. We lost a load of goals last year with traditional FBs beside them & 2 DMs in front of them. This could be much worse, defensively, than the Grayson or McAllister days. Unless, of course, we start scoring goals as often as we did then - in fact, more often! Which takes me on to my second major worry - scoring goals. So far, I haven't seen as many chances being created as last season, for instance. And even fewer getting converted. Worrying. Still really looking forward to the season ahead, I might add, but have some genuine concerns that a couple of brilliant signings will not cover. On the other hand, I guess we've yet to see the first team play together. Once they really know what they're doing, we might be able to breathe a sigh of relief. I hope.
Interesting article: https://www.expressandstar.com/spor...-douglas-admits-wolves-exit-was-hard-to-take/ A few Wolves fans are saying Douglas had a disagreement with the coach, Nuno Santo it was done in front of other players and Santo took exception to it and froze him out of preseason games. Sounds like he might need a few days working on fitness to catch the rest up.
Given your like for these little bets and your confidence in your pontificating do you want £20 on this not being trumped before the end of the transfer window?
He was a good player playing in a quality side from top to bottom This season will be his test playing for your shower who the fook is he going to assist ?
I’ll answer myself then - 9/2 and 5th favourites. Could be worse (and no doubt will be). Or back Leeds at 18/1 - though does not matter what the odds are as it ain’t going to happen
