That thickness of skin and strong self belief must be built into the job description, given the job security…..if you believe you got it wrong every time you are sacked as a football manger, you’ll give up sharpish and have serious self esteem issues. How else could some of these numpties keep on going year after year……it’s even more bewildering how some of them keep on getting jobs.Agreed, but I firmly believe that many coaches, because of their belief in what they're doing, can be far too slow to see that they're wrong about a certain line up, player, system etc.
