Thanks for the link Mathew v.good quality. Do we have any tall players left to do corners against giraffes anymore ?
I've never seen the ball whacked up the pitch so often but maybe it was best to match like with like. If we 'd tried to play out from the back they would have harried us into mistakes on the edge of our own box.
That was stressful at times .... Now I can understand why my Father couldn’t watch the penalties in the Play Off Final against Barnsley - he left his seat and stayed on the Concourse .... and he was 75 at the time
Cooper’s decision to go with Cabango and Guehi - rather than pick Bennett - was, in my opinion, spot on. My son queried it beforehand and I guessed it was for their mobility.
My thoughts on the game.......Sky like to be pretty biased with the studio guests and commentators although the studio guests did compliment us in the end....Barnsley employed a tactic of head tennis it seemed similar to the earlier games against them and although we looked like succumbing to them early doors we weathered the storm playing a bit of long ball stuff ourselves...our only real shot on target in the first half courtesy of Andre was a class finish.....Barnsley started the second period on the front foot but Freddie had a class game stopping everything in his area and also doing some sweeping outside the box....could have done with @nother goal to show our class difference but perhaps our home support on Saturday will be our extra man to take us to Wemberleee
I think he may well start with Smith on Saturday as the only change. The post match interview was saying the pressure is on us not Barnsley. Well if we get an early goal then let's see who the pressure is on then! Its looking like a Swans v Bournemouth final to me.
