not worried about those below us as we're virtually certain of the play offs.
it's second spot now and we haven't blown it tonight.
there will be further twists in the next ten games.

Did you write this @marcusblackcat <whistle>

    Player Ratings
Jon McLaughlin, 6/10: Had a nightmare kicking in the wind, but made big saves to bail out his teammates.
Luke O’Nien, 5/10: Probably time to end the O’Nien at right-back experiment, he’s made way too many errors in the last three games.
Jack Baldwin, 7/10: Made one crucial last-ditch challenge and played with an aggression Dunne and Tom Flanagan aren’t capable of.
Jimmy Dunne, 5/10: Started well before morphing back into the nervous wreck we witnessed make mistake after mistake at Adams Park.
Adam Matthews, 5/10: A performance littered with mistakes.
Lee Cattermole, 7/10: Sunderland’s most effective player, made a series of important challenges to protect his back four in a tough fixture away from home.
Grant Leadbitter, 4/10: Well off the pace and booked early, surprisingly slack in possession too, his worst game since returning to the club.
Max Power, 6/10: Effective off of Grigg on the rare occasions Sunderland had possession in the Barnsley half.
Lynden Gooch, 5/10: Wasteful in possession, threw away his chance to reclaim a starting place.
Aiden McGeady, 6/10: Managed to produce a few typically eye-catching touches, but was was otherwise quiet.
Will Grigg, 5/10: Brought his fellow forwards into play a few times, but too often was lightweight and ineffective when the ball was played up to him.
(SUB) Lewis Morgan, 6/10: Provided better thrust and end product than Gooch.
(SUB) Kazaiah Sterling, n/a/10: Came on too late to make an impact.

Man of the Match: Lee Cattermole

    I disagree.

I think this result was massive, Barnsley draw away to Donny on Friday and we are back in the box seat.

This was a massive result, massive. Ours to lose now.

All in all we are still in the thick of it with a good shout, and only the blistering form of Luton and Barnsley over the last two months have prevented us from being in an automatic spot already, and you have to give JR great credit for his achievements this season, and I have a feeling that Barnsley could be about to crack, both sides will be pleased with the result tonight, but it makes you wonder how it would have panned out, if the last two fixtures had been played the other way round. Good solid point point tonight. It was important not to get beat tonight. Let's see where things are by Saturday night. We are keeping the pressure on Barnsley....onward and upward!

Barnsley will lose at Doncaster on Friday and we'll beat Walsall.

Barnsley then have another away match at Walsall.

If we'd come up from mid table to be 4 points behind, with a game in hand, we'd all be delirious.

Get a minimum of 50 points out of those and we'll be laughing!

    Good result for me like.

Obviously a win would have been better but a loss would have been a disaster IMO.

    Pleased with that.

I’ve been saying, Donny away for them after 2 days rest is a big chance of lost points, that’s what made a draw last night an excellent point.

It makes all the difference, if it had been W.Wanderers who had equalised in stoppage time, now that would have been rubbing salt in. We are still well in the mix and its all to play for, but it has not been easy on the eye or the nerves. <ok>
