It's 10:38pm and I'm in a hotel room in the middle of Beijing listening to Saints online and watching Liverpool v Sunderland on TV (beauty of being abroad!).

Also, WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE!

SH/st brendy - Max Gradel makes Mario Balotelli seem mild and meek!

Said this the other day. Whoever Saints bring in, Connolly is better. Keep him fit and he's like a new signing.

Having spent the last few months wishing the days away so that the season could start, I now find myself wishing it was over. Now. Right Now!

    Answer my question then?

I've also been utilised as a CB in the past, the reason for that being i'm good in teh air and know where teh forward is going to run. Fonte probably could play upfront.

I'll happily take that first half. Well done lads.

Now hopefully get a 2nd goal early on, and pretty much kill the game off.

Sorry to break in on your private argument, but Fonte could play on the wing, up front, or CB. He has a great cross when he gets a chance, and you'd have to fancy his chances as an old-fashioned centre forward. He's probably the best CB in the Championship, though, which is why he plays there.

Good, solid half. Sound comfortable at the back and distributing well to the midfield allowing the wide men and forwards to express themselves. Need to come out quick now after half time and get another.

It doesn't matter what level you play, the basics are exactly the same. The only difference is players are quicker, have faster brains, more technical, fitter etc.

Totally agree, would love to see him in a holding midfield role. I think he would be brilliant at breaking up play. Don't think he's the best CB in the league though.

Yes it does, playing at a higher level with better coaches you learn a lot more.
