QPR head off to Oakwell for an almost pointless end of the regular season encounter in today's early kick off. It would be great to see the R's get a good win to build some momentum as we venture into the play offs.

Team News

Barnsley boss Danny Wilson will include several of the club's up-and-coming players in his squad for Saturday's Sky Bet Championship clash with QPR at Oakwell.

Danny Rose was recently recalled from his loan spell at Bury, while fellow young forwards Jordan Clark and Rhys Oates, plus midfielders McCauley Shillito and Brad Abbott could be in contention.

Wilson has allowed most of the players who have been on loan at Oakwell to return to their parent clubs, but Crystal Palace defender Peter Ramage is expected to feature after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Barnsley, whose relegation was confirmed after defeat at Middlesbrough last week, have lost five of their last six matches.

QPR will be without Jermaine Jenas, who suffered a cruciate injury in training last week and faces at least six months on the sidelines.

Fellow midfielder Ale Faurlin (knee) and winger Matty Philips (ankle) are also long-term absentees for Rangers.

Left-back Benoit Assou-Ekotto could be recalled after missing last weekend's 1-1 draw with Millwall while boss Harry Redknapp may rest the likes of Richard Dunne and Charlie Austin ahead of the play-offs.

Christ! I post the team up in 30 secs and a bigger boy still beats me to it. * Fuming! *

On the bench today:

Michael PETRASSO

Position: Midfielder

DOB: 09/07/1995

Born: Canada

MARAUDING winger Michael Petrasso capped his first season with the club by signing professional terms in May to extend his stay at Loftus Road until the summer of 2014. Crucial to the Under-18s league success in 2012/13, Petrasso featured 19 times in all. The Canadian youth international returned from the CONCACAF U20 Championships in February to play an equally impressive role for the Elite Development Squad, opening his account with an exquisite 25-yard lob at Brentford.

Jordan GIBBONS

Position: Midfielder

DOB: 18/11/1993

Born: Bromley

WIDE-MAN Jordan Gibbons has been with the club since the age of 15, recently signing a new deal to extend his stay at Loftus Road until June 2014. The winger featured twice for the Elite Development Squad at the start of the 2012/13 campaign prior to moving on loan for the remainder of the season to SPL side Inverness Caledonian Thistle in January.

Trippier own goal, Reading 1 - 0 up, Blackburn 2 - 1 up against Wigan. We'd be facing Reading if things stay like this.

Burnley 2 - 1 up at Reading. Brighton throwing away their chance to get to playoffs, Nottm Forest 1 - 0 up

Reading 1 Burnley 2

We haven't even been able to score Barnsley yet - looks like the most interesting aspect of this thread today will be following the other scores to see who our playoff opponents will be - back to Wigan right now.

Perhaps anyone committed enough to make the trip up to Barnsley today should have been rewarded with the opportunity to buy a home playoff ticket?
