What I don't get is how in quite a few games, the opposition make a quick few incisive passes and get a shot at goal and yet for all our intricacy, we sometimes fail to either have a shot on goal in a half or like you say Emu, passes just go astray and it all looks too frenetic. So it strikes me having a good think about it is that although Bielsa has worked wonders in some aspects, the quality and composure is just not there and the worry is that after 18 months in charge, is it going to change. Then if you take it a step further, we go out and acquire a bit better technical ability in the likes of Costa and Eddie and for whatever reason, they can't get a start and we are waiting until 10-15 minutes left hoping these guys can turn it around.
Barnsley pressed well and our passing was off first half. Later on in the half we managed to pass through the press and created chances but as usual we just cannot convert. Couple of sticking points for me. Why do we persist with Phillip's on corners? When we do get it to Bamfords feet theres nobody playing off him. This allows Barnsley to crowd him out. Our finishing is abysmal!
Harrison and Pablo should have done better with their chances. Can Barnsley keep up the pace the second half?
