This is an awful defensive setup and shape, we could lose by 4 or 5 here. Weimann is not a RWB and it shows, and that also takes away our attacking impetus. Him and Semenyo were really striking up a good partnership, and now he stuck out at RWB - what a f**king joke
Bonkers selection, Weimann Yep, Bonkers having Weimann RWB, I see he's drifting into the middle.. I'm sure Vyner would have got the blame had he been playing!!
Vyner has got some justifiable criticism on here; however, we are no better without him, it’s just other players making mistakes. This HAS to be poor coaching?
You won't using sandpaper... the setup and balance was all wrong..Weimann even taking it into his own hands to try and play more central until he's instructed not too.. Defending set pieces usually blamed towards Vyner.....marking appalling... mistakes at a premium
Weimann lost his man leading up to the corner, plus he is missed linking up with Semenyo, whom is our only decent outlet...Martin has been poor imo..
The verdict is in from the far side of the pond and as usual it is not very flattering. The set up is all wrong and our defence is even worse and you only have to review Barnsley's goal to see our players in our own penalty area clutching at straws prior to the ball crossing the line. I froze the screen to look closely at City's players during the goal mouth action from corners and nearly all of them look like they are down and totally disinterested in playing the game. Many of those out there tonight need to be moved on during the summer to allow a rebuild that might have a chance of a better future but seriously I am starting to lose faith in NP and his tactics. Forget about what he inherited because we have been saying the same old garbage for years and I think our psyche mirrors our failures and hope of that mantra changing seems way out of our reach. How many future superstars do we need on our books when our history tells us that they don't fare well at Ashton Gate and even when they inevitably move on their personal situation will not change because quite frankly they weren't that good in the first place. The real answer is anybody's guess and what it will take in a manager and the players around them appears to have vanished in the fog. Sad days yet again but who knows perhaps Nigel has a good line on some magic rabbits that he can bring on in the 2nd half. P.S. Robins TV works well over here.
Atkinson and Klose are his signings, so he’s accountable. Those turds as you call them didn’t concede this many goals in the whole of last season (and that was with Tyler Moore) or the season before, so somehow we have got markedly worse this season, that is poor coaching
