Green or Pratley as MoM for me. PoY is a toss up between Pratley and Phillips.

The stats say Barnsley had the better of the game;

61% possession, more shots, more corners... Credit to the lads for toughing it out today. I hear we have Phillips to thank as much as anybody else for getting the 3 points.

 

I like Cullen. It's a pity he has made it clear he wants to play for West Ham rather than think of a career at Charlton.
But it's honest of him at least. And he's doing his best for us while he is here.

 

Put simply, with Taylor, Williams and Cullen in the team, we look a Championship outfit.

Without 2 of the 3 or all 3 playing, we are a League One side.

We need to hope that all 3 stay fit for the remainder of the season (LT had cramp today, Williams got his usual kicking). The owner needs to make securing all three in the summer the absolute priority. You have the nucleus of a Championship side with those three, Dillon & Lockyer.

first half we were barely troubled; on cruise control. we made two subs and then disintegrated. it is reassuring to know that with more first teamers back, we are capable of winning games.

Barnsley are one of the most dirty teams I have seen at the Valley, they clearly targeted Williams from the start... I think the first foul on him was on about 2 mins.

 

We need the new signings to step up. Hemed and JFC were poor substitutes, we only just held out. But 3 invaluable points. and the squad looks up for the scrap. I've never seen so many late tackles as Barnsley made today. We may be a bit lucky to get the points, but also lucky not to have any more Injuries, especially Williams, who was clearly targeted.

 

Got the 3pts we needed, Pratley mom again, Phillips one outstanding save. Cruising it in the 1st half, Taylor and Williams went off and were up against it. They were dirty sods tried their best to put Williams out of the game.

Green MOTM for me, surprised so many are suggesting Pratley for that, felt he was out of position a few times, including for their goal. Massive massive win, couldn't be happier tonight, today was all about the result
