Time for opposing teams to start worrying about us. Sunday's win must surely have installed some belief in the squad and their trust in SM.

I'm not suggesting the Tykes will be a pushover. In fact if they have any pride in the club they represent, they'll be employing maximum effort. However, and it feels really good to be able to say this, I think our high intensity band developing class will win the day

Must start with the same 11 as against Forest, particularly up front.

Watters didn't have the best of games against Forest, but dropping him to find a place for Ikpeazu would be a mistake. It would undermine any confidence he's regained in coming back to the club. Also starting Isaak Davies could be the wrong way to use him. His pace would be far more effective against tiring defenders for the last 20/30 minutes.

It's all about tactics especially seeing a game out. If we manage to get in front going into that last half hour, instead of trying to sit back and defend it by putting defensive cloggers like Vaulks and Pack on, a bullying (and surprisingly quick) Ikpeazu and a lightning fast Davies off the bench could cause them problems. We need to give them something to worry about at their end not invite them on.

There again, what do I know?

Wouldnt start Hughill AND Ikpeazu. One or the other with Watters, Harris or Davies.

Morison took a risk with so many changes on Sunday.
Need a bit of stability.
No doubt we will see the odd change with games coming thick and fast but need the new boys time to gel.
Don't see Collins making the bench tomorrow.
 
The time to make changes is at Anfield. Tomorrow night Morison must play his best team and for me that is the starting X1. Certainly make changes but I thought on Sunday Vaulks and Collins weakened the team whereas Davies certainly improved it.

Just looking at the table. A bit skewed because of the difference in the numbers of games played.
However, a win tonight puts us in the mid table mix.
Would rather be fighting at the top of the table, but given the issues we've had, I'll take mid table mediocrity, allowing us to clear out and rebuild in the summer.

Bit confused remote - even a win will still keep us in 20th placed and hardly amongst the midfield runners - but I'm with you on the sentiments. TBH, I'm more worried about this than the Forest game.

Last time we played at Oakwell the pitch was like a ploughed field which might not suit our new found skills.......<laugh><laugh>

We can win this and certainly need to, so I'll gratefully take 3 points with a winning goal off Ikpeazu's arse at the death (even though we'll still be in 20th).
 
Mathematically, it will take a while before we can move upward. So I guess our aim is to at least solidify our 20th position. At the end of the day, it's now just about survival in the Championship and there's little difference if we finish wherever are or mid table.
Sounds like a miserable ambition but it's only for this term and is difficult enough considering the events of earlier in the season.
After what we saw as a risky team selection against Forest, I'm increasingly confident that SM is an astute manager.
No easy games but we can compete in most now.
A good win tonight to say goodbye to the ghost of big Mick.

I understand it wont move us up the table but will put us within a win of that group.
It'll also start to open a gap to the bottom 4.

Need to string some wins / draws together after our run of defeats.
One swallow and all that, but feel as if the signings we have made will suite what Morison is trying to acheive.

If we stay in this division, there is a big rebuild to do. Hope Morison does enough to get the gig.
Not a fan of so many loans but it was all we were going to get.

Stay up, get rid of as many big earners as we can and then we'll need half a dozen new signings and 3 or 4 loanees in the summer to make us competative.

Barnsley added a couple of players in the window.
So did we and we saw how effective they were on Sunday.

Understand Ralls may be injured.
That’s not good if so as it means Pack or Vaulks or even god forbid Bacuna <yikes>

Being bold, it would be a chance for Colwill - but he played for the under 23's yesterday which probably rules him out.

If Ralls isn't available, I'd expect to see hatchet man Vaulks in there.

Ralls would be a big miss and equally importantly, I'll have to change my scorer in the prediction thread <grr>
