I was watching the Nigel Adkins interview on Saints Player yesterday and I couldn't help but notice Lee Barnard on there taking part in training drills and kicking a ball around with the rest of the squad. The camera was actually focused on him a couple of times and he looks fit and raring to go. All that stuff about him being fit and then having a relapse was just a smoke screen perhaps? If he was on the bench tonight I would be thrilled.
 
Would be great to see him back, but I can't see him being featured for a while.

I wouldn't have thought he'll be rushed, so reserve games will be where he'll be utilised for a bit. He missed the entire pre-season so he's got a lot of catching up to do in terms of fitness and form if he's to be in contention for the first team.

I'll be happy to be proved wrong though!
 
I noticed that and thought he was fit but then i thought is the film actually recently or do they sometimes re-use other film? hopefully he's close though,we could do with a striker on the bench.
 
Saturday at the earliest I think, he's definietly ruled out of tonight as far as I'm aware and Adkins won't rush him back un-necessarily
