Fair point as far as I'm concerned.

Things are running very smoothly as they are.
NB is the consummate pro and what Ash did at the end of his time here( Bullard escapades and all that)will be remembered.

Just can't see how bringing him back in any sort of coaching capacity would be the way forward.

I think Daws is worthy of a new deal but he should not be 1st choice left back

No and thats part of why he left. But Barmby is another matter and the Allams are not stupid.

well Dawson has come back in and done well as well as steadying the ship after the Burnley shambles. But Dudgeon will be back and from what Barmby said on saturday both Daws and Dudg push each other and competition can only be good for the team. We have 2 of the best left backs in the league. I also Hope that Danny East will be the under study for Liam now.

I haven't been that impressed with Dawson lately. He seems to be immediately struggling as soon as someone runs at him whereas Dudgeon seemed so assured. Also, Dawson gets forward well but his crossing is terrible.

I think Daws had a really great defensive game on Sat (unlike Birmingham), but I think he struggles getting forward now and that is where Dudg is much better. I do think Daws deserves a new contract and pretty certain he will get one.

from what barmby was saying after the game on saturday Dawsons new contract is his first bit of biz niz to be completed.

i also think that Dudgeon will get the start against Derby as i cannot see Daws having the legs to start 2 games in 3 days over the new year period we shall see.

Is my hearing playing me up in my old age but did the commentator at the start of the BBC website highlights refer to NB as Mickey Barmby?

Just because they had talks today (the talks 100% did happen), there is a) no certainty anything was agreed (I know NB still had certain assurances he wanted to be met, but wasnt sure the Allams would agree to) and b) if anything was agreed that they have to announce it straight away, maybe it was agreed by all to announce it in the New Year, to not distract focus from the big games next week.

I don't think we'll get an announcement 'till sometime in January then at the earliest.
