The problem is they have no plan b, they just keep plugging away at their only system, granted it works 99% of the time but it failed tonight when it really mattered.

Llorente

Plan B right there

Knows the players through the national side

Plays same style with Bilbao

This <ok> they have the team, they need the strikers. Its a sad day when your midfielder (Messi) scores 63 goals and your next top scorer is another midfielder and you still fall by the wayside because your strikers cant convert simple tap ins.

<laugh>

A spent force after 3 games in a week where they had to play a team that parked the bus twice and their biggest rivals? Surely you cannot be serious

they will wind down over the next couple of years

xavi is 32 and cannot carry on forever at the same level, iniesta is coming up to what we would say are a footballers 'prime years', but without xavi there will be half as effective. puyol is 34, villa and valdes are 30, abidal is 32...

ok so they have pique, fabregas and messi who are all 25 or under, but who will fill in the other positions left by the older players i have mentioned? it is not easy to simply buy the best individuals and stick them into a system and expect the same results

correct.

madrid are the top dogs now.

No team has won the CL back to back for a reason. It's ****ing difficult. I just hope the Barca ****s do not look to Van Persie as their plan B for next season.

A spent force.

Discuss.

No.

A great team, but with little strength in depth ?, yes.
They have looked jaded over the last 4 games, although if they had converted there chances in both legs, could of comfortably beaten Chelsea. But they didn't do that.

I think Chelsea deserve immense credit for getting that result tonight, it was never going to be easy, but after Terrys brainstorm, looked nigh on impossible.

Ramires goal was the turning point for me, class finish and a great pass from Lampard to put him in, just on half time.

Gary Neville deserves a special mention for his commentary as Torres rounded Valdes to finish it off.
