Barcelona has a weak defence, according to Chelsea's Kalou!

Chelsea are going to get smashed at the Nou Camp

Barcelona have improved and Chelsea have declined since 2009

I'm looking forward to John Terry getting torn apart by Messi (for off the pitch reasons and not because he is a Chelsea player)

    You're welcome

I note you didn't have any disagreement with it

Vamos a ver, as they say here. My feeling is that there will only be one result, and it will not be a happy one for Chelsea.

Ok, like I said, I'm not expecting to beat Barcelona. I just don't think what HIAG said is true.

Alves is practically a winger, Puyol is past it, Abidal is out with a liver transplant <doh>

their defence is their weakest part, that is what Kalou is saying.

  9. Agree with all the above Drogs - just think that going public with the comment is a bit daft

Barcelona's defence is still a lot better than Chelsea's though.

I don't think it matters when Messi is there, you could put the four best defenders on the planet there and he'd still find a way to rape them.

It's about what our attacking force do to their weak side to their game.

And Kalou will be the first to eat his <laugh>

The defence is certainly the worst part of Barcelona's defence. Though I still think the rejuvenation of Chelsea is just a myth. I can see an upset however (but not very likely, Barcelona play consistently, especially with their style of play).

  14. The question to ask is this - which side has shown, in recent months, an ability to raise its game to match the circumstances?

Yes, Chelsea has seen something of a mini revival under RDM, but they've not played well and have been extremely lucky in many of those games, including the one against us. If they play against Barca like they have in the games they recently won or drawn, they will be ripped apart.

I simply cannot see past a Chav humiliation at the hands of the mighty Barca. Sorry.

  15. Having said that though, if The Chavs get the same ref as today then they may stand a chance.......

It was nothing to do with the ref, it was the linesman. Nobody else.

  17. I'm wondering if RDM can keep the score under double figures, over the two legs?

That's got to be his main aim.

Ray Wilkins was making something interesting points (rare, I know) the other day. Back in 2009, he said Chelsea just decided to forget the midfield and hoof it to Drogba. Guus Hiddink was their manager then. So basically, to avoid the pressure in midfield they just bypassed it. He was saying that Chelsea should do the same in 2012. Now, problem is Drogba is simply not the same player. He does not have that power. He has his days but I can't see him doing what he did in 2009. If the ball just keeps coming back then Barca will not even allow Chelsea that route. I simply can't see Drogba bullying Pique and Puyol like he once did.

The referee has the power to overturn decisions.
