Saw a little bit about a letter sent by some fans who have been given life bans from the club after the Cardiff game for what amounted to pretty much nothing, last nights first half was a 'silent protest' apparently?

    something like that.?

A lot has been said about it on Twitter and quite a few fans are writing in letters saying they will never go to a game again and the people sending them aren't even banned. Club have made a right balls up here...

What's the club supposed to do?

These people have been convicted of a football related crime in the courts.

IF this concerns the spate of life bans the club are going beyond what the courts are using as sentences. The "club" there is acting independently as judge and jury.

So are you saying the club should take no action on anyone convicted of football related violence?

The club should follow the lead of the civil and criminal courts v making up their own additional widespread sentences.

read the story in the post and i agree that a life ban is harsh on those who may be innocent. someone may have got mixed up in trouble and had to defend themself. seems unfair that person them goes on to get a life ban!
