You will note that many boards have a banner at the top of the page, do you want one?

If you find the picture you want, I can have one made up if you want, it must be 1800 pixels wide. PM me with your choice then I will ask Mick to put it up.
 
Top one looks the part, at least until we can get one of our own sorted out, I'd be happy with that - nice piece of work Steve. Any Evertonians out there handy with photoshop? Something like pics of Dixie, Ball, Southall and big Dunc left to right might be decent?.
 
the big problem is with older players, they will be in SD format, and when blown up for the 1800 banner, they look like crap.

Shrinking pics is fine, expanding them make them look very pixelated and stretched, and they dont look very good at all tbh.

I can have a look for those players if you want, but dont hold out any hope.

PS: whats it matter who does it, i got the same on another board as well, will wait till one of our own, i dont get it.
 
I was thinking something along these lines:

I dont know whether its possible to blend those images together seamlessly. I was thinking about maybe overlaying a faded image of the badge in the gap between Dixie and Ball maybe with the club motto starting underneath the badge, also faded, offset to the left?. Or alternately merge/fade/monochrome the images as a background and put the badge/motto in sharp relief over the top etc. Not sure really but hats about the limit of what I can do with twenty minutes and MS Paint!.

I dont think there is an issue of who does it for any other reason than the nature of the task. For a fan this is no hardship and the reward is in doing a good job because its where your passion lies. For someone who isnt a fan the reward isnt as clear and it may be more of a job of work. If this is something we can do ourselves then why ask/expect someone else to do it.
 
If I photoshop something together, how can I upload it to this thread?

I can see how I can upload from a URL, but not from file. Sorry if I'm being thick.
 
imageshack then just embed the url (you can get the link off imageshack)

PS. all the different backgrounds for that pic doesnt look right at all, if i get time later i will cut them out so they are renders and see what i can do with it (unless someone beats me to it).

PPS: I just like helping out, if anything doing this is taking my time away from my website, but as for clubs and all that stuff, i dont really care.

This isnt the finished version by any means, but i have to go out now so see what you think of the concept, background etc can change but it needed one. if its crap and you dont like it AT ALL, then i know not to go any further later on.

Sorry personal life has took over a bit, if i get time today i will see what i can do, so you want the badge from the 1st pic, the players apart from southhall in the 2nd pic (the 1st pic they are too big and the forum will cut their heads off) and the pic you put up in place of southhall?
