Wow, it really is sad to see how you react to what a couple of Spurs fan think. I been thinking about getting the current banner changed for ages.
 
Not one of the pics posted include the slightest hint of RVP (remember him?) and I am expected to believe that this whole thing is nothing to do with people running scared of the spuds opinions and threats of wummery should he leaves us.

Now that is sad my friend.

No, it's just thta the club has a large and varied history, of which RvP has only featured for 8 years, when you consider how old some of the images are, it's no suprise he isn't pictured.

Yet he was good enough all of last season - at least up until that thread started (what a coincidence <doh> ) on the spuds board.

I am suprised that RvP was our banner though. This is Arsenal, not RvP FC. At least show some of the greats, not just our captain.
 
He is our captain, the prems top scorer and kept us in the CL. He deserves a place up there and definitely should not be tossed in the trash.

I agree with all of that, i'm not saying he should be tossed in the trash, i just think it would reflect the club better if we had some past greats on there.
 
ok, you lot do whatever you want, but just be sure to run it past the spud board for their approval before making the change.

I won't comment on this embarrassing fiasco any more.

Who said he will not be involved? The banner will consist of the past and present which includes RVP. We just do not want a banner of one person anymore.

What the **** are you going on about ? There's no reason why RVP can't be on the banner - and personally I don't give a flying **** what the spuds think. You though, seem to have been suckered in by their wumming <doh>
 
Ok, so I've sent some pictures off to blackcatsteve to produce a banner for us. The consensus was something that showed our history and our great players through the ages, so I've sent some pics that hopefully represent all of that. I've aksed him if he can do a montage of the following:

1. Background

4. Right

You must log in or register to see images



Hopefully, we can get something the blends all the pictures together. Once it's done, we'll post it and let people have their say. Obviously we want something that we all like and agree on, but aware that we're never going to get a 100% consensus, so if you don't like it you can **** off <laugh>

Greta pics - especially the Centre one - Dennis Bergkamp Day - what a day! Great because it was arguably our greatest ever player, playing the first game out our new staium <ok>
 
RVP should be on the banner if he stays or goes abroad - if he goes to City or Utd he should be forgotten about. His career so far at Arsenal has been good not great - just 18 months of 'great' so far.
