I'll bin the sock as it's about a meter long now with me not being able to do the end bit. absolute gold!
if you're going to invade a forum it needs to be a subject that people are really obsessive and geeky about. like sci fi. or comics. or football.
Meccano. surely there are lots of references to spanners and hammers that could be exploited http://www.meccanoscene.co.uk/index.php?name=PNphpBB2 Actually it's as dead as the Villa board.
If you want to get banned , don't look for the right board ...look for the wrong moderator . Just buy my Book " Ban - Aid For Dummies "
My wife belongs to a knitting circle forum. It is supposed to be international, but there seems to be an inordinate number of Americans and Canadians on it, with names such as Needle Craft and Mama Stitch. They are so clichey, and quickly round on any newbe who comes along with (what they perceive, in their infinitely acquired wisdom, to be) a stupid question. Flame wars are de rigeur. Last year, I thought I'd have some fun. I created an account with the avatar (above), and I called myself Jihadi Joan. Not wanting to stand on ceremony, I waded straight into a flame war that had been raging for 20 or so pages about the right way to hem a sleeve (or something like that - I'm not up on the lingo), and asked the warring hags, quite politely, "Anyone have good pattern for knit burka for small child? I have plenty black wool. Give me answer soon." (I effected the accent for maximum wummage). Surprisingly, it took a further three posts from me before I was banned and my account closed. Be careful with this, though, lads. The thrill of rogue forum wummery (as I like to call it) is highly infectious, and you can find yourselves very quickly descending into a shadowy world, with no guarantees that you'll come out of it unscathed.
Pay a visit. Just dont mention Sams heed. Or his tactics Or you will have hate mail. Or we can share them.
We'll be OK @Hoddle Is A God been doing this for years, the Swansea invasion ages back kicked it all off, the Supermods even joined in.
I had never been banned anywhere until I raised my concerns about the level of questionable support Adam Johnson had been receiving from Sunderland FC on their board. The irony was about 3 top people at the club either resigned or were sacked after he was found guilty. I was fully vindicated, reinstated to the board with my reputation in tact. I felt like Fergie after he was villified for calling Alan Wiley an unfit lazy fat ****, only for Wiley to retire a few months later.... for admitting he was an unfit lazy fat ****.
