At the Oval in 72 or 73. Me and a couple of mates built a podium out of three large upside down litter bins and used them to get over the outside wall for an all day freebie...
Saw them in a club in Brixton where I grew up around 71...
Several times and they were on the same bill as Focus at the Oval although the headline band were ELP...

Despite living less than half a mile from the RamJam Club in Brixton I never got to see him. The club hosted a who's who of legends in the 60s including Hendrix, The Cream, Otis Redding and many more but that was just before I was old enough to go to concerts. On the one occasion I did go in there in the early 70s he was away on tour but by then it was much more soul-orientated.
It eventually became the Fridge and saw many bands such as the Pet Shop Boys play regularly in the 80s. Ironically it is now a Happy Clappy Church...
