You don't get Paul Rogers vocals, Paul Kossoff's brilliant lead & one of THE greatest bass guitarists of all time (+ a fairly competent drummer)? I don't believe it, I've never heard of anyone (of a more mature nature) who didn't get Free ..................... you've shocked and stunned me Kempton old chap. I need to lie down ...... or cut the ****ing grass.
Agree on the first three (particularly that sack of ****e Coldplay), but not the last one. I really like Gorillaz.
That's probably a personal taste thing. But the first three are all arrogant, cocky pr*cks. I don't mind bands being cocky when they can back it up with their music - not when it's lightweight, bland, lifeless sh*te posing as "rock".
I don't get My Bloody Valentine They were often mentioned in the same breath as The JAMC who they couldn't hold a candle to - not in a million years.
That's a strange one not getting Van the man. I personally thinks he's amazing, but each to their own, that is providing you're just saying that you don't get him and not that he's crap or anything
Gotta agree with that CC, between the drugs, the insecurities and the ego's involved, Free were a star that burned short & fierce but burnt out just as quickly.
I like a few tracks, I see what they were doing, but I can see also see how it could be seen as an unexciting drone. Ultimately, they could do with a change of pace here and there.
I preferred MBV. Loveless was one of the great albums of the 90s and Kevin Shields is some kind of bizarre guitar genius.
