I know they will but it doesnt mean it's not true. I love Mind Games and Jealous Guy but there's so little of his solo stuff that's any good at all. Listening to the whole albums is like putting yourself on the rack. If McCartney had been shot instead we'd now be laughing at John and worshiping Saint Paul.

    River Euphrates off Surfer Rosa.

Sounds like he's deforming the fretboard, pulling those sounds out.

    Brilliant.

The reason people laugh at Paul is because he can't sing and hasn't been able to since the 70s.

John, if he were still alive, would probably still be able to sing. Of course, I have nowt to back that up.

There's some proper pretentious old bollocks being spewed all over this thread.

    FACT.

    Seamonsters by The Wedding Present.

One of the best albums ever made.

Corduroy is one of my favourite songs ever. My elder bro was a massive fan being a mainstay of their fan club and getting his hands on all 12 of the limited edition singles that year.

Interesting isnt it? The same people who hated "junkie smackhead twats" like Pete Doherty and Amy Winehouse wont hear a word against John. Work that one out.

I adore the music Amy Winehouse made and I'm gutted at what I might have missed from her.
