Ah that's a good state to make the most of your sexy accent. You want to be somewhere there aren't too many other Brits.

Having fun going back on Reddit and gloating at those who called me deluded when I said Portugal would struggle with their group.

One idiot tried it on with an "18 year old" girl who was in fact 15. They ended up sleeping together and the girl's father found out and all hell broke loose. In the end he got arrested and kicked out of the country. He was very lucky he didn't go to US prison for statutory rape.

My first retired summer...ready on sofa for test match and Wimbledon. Life doesn't get better than this :)

And before anyone goes on about it being better to canoe in the Amazon or climb Kilimanjaro, I hate discomfort and prefer my greatest challenge to be whether I really, really need another cup of tea. <laugh>

Lucky for some. I love watching Wimbledon but I'll miss a lot of it due to bloody work. :(

Murray on at 13.00 today...he can't blow it first round, can he? :) Read a bit in the paper today that said he could have made 10 million this year by cashing in on his Wimbledon win, but he chose not to as he didn't want to spare the time and is very selective about who he is associated with. Good luck to him....just how much money does anyone need?

Amateur stuff. Canoeing Kilimanjaro and climbing the Amazon: now those are real challenges.

Already done both of those, now I'm ready for a proper test, like finding my way to Yeovil by public transport.

Ah, Yeovil. The heart of the country with the mind of a city. Cracks me up every time.

Never been big on cycling. The one where you provide the engine. Strange really because I always had the legs for football and could run up an down all match. But cycling..? Ouch. So it has come as a surprise to myself that, having borrowed a half-decent bike from a mate in the last couple of months, who has dozens of the bloody things, that I went on a cycling pub-crawl yesterday. And really good fun it was. It was out in the Meon and Itchen Valley district and was full of quiet villages [eg. Cheriton, source of the River Itchen], country lanes, fields, trees, tracks and HILLS. And the weather was simply superb. After about the 3rd pub, my legs started to die, as the alcohol began to have its effect on them, but that was happening to everybody, so we were all in the same boat. 25 miles later and we were just about pubbed out, and a few arses were crying out too. The only dull thud was that the last pub, where we were going to eat a hearty dinner, only served food into the afternoon. Certainly not onto 6.30pm when we trooped up. Our earlier interpretation of their pub sign had been misguided. All-in-all though, a really good day out. Way better than sitting in front of the TV.

Murray's opponent, Goffin, looks like a fair Adam Lallana...better legs though, 'cos all tennis players have better legs than footballers.
