If there's one way of ensuring Cleverley goes to the WC it's starting childish petitions like this. Hogdson won't bow to pressure and prove it by taking him.
Where did this snowball from? He isn't good enough for England but nor are quite a few more 1) Smalling 2) Jones 3) A Cole (age caught up with him)
This is old news, Woy has already come out and criticised it. How many threads about Cleverley do we need? Can the mods merge this with the other Woy/Cleverley thread recently?
The injury to Jack Wilshere sadly for England may well mean the hopeless Tom Cleverley going to Brazil. Is he Woy's love child by chance ? lol.
Almost all of us would agree that he should definitely be in ahead of Cleverley but even then quite a few wouldn't be certain about putting him in there on current form which is a fair bit lower that it was late last year. On the other hand, Curtis Davies not being in the squad is an absolute disgrace. Look at any statistics and they will tell you that Davies is one of the best English players in the league this season. On Whoscored he is rated as the fourth best English player and the best central defender. He has been the linchpin of what was the 5th best defence in the league when Roy made his selection, which for a newly promoted side is outstanding.
I'm no fan of Tom Cleverley, but this petition is pathetic. So 17,000+ think strongly enough to sign the petition? I reckon a damn sight more than 17,000 think whoever started it must be a complete ****.
Haven't seen enough of him tbf but his stats are very good, our Wes Brown is class when fit but he's just not fit often enough, although he's had a good run recently
I agree, I think Tom Cleverley is absolute utter ****e, but I think this petition might have been a step too far.
Precisely. I heard the twat who started it going on about how England fans should "have an opinion." Fair enough, have your opinion: make a post on a forum, or Facebook, or Twitter, or talk about it with your mates down the pub, but starting a petition? Get to ****.
More people have signed this petition, than have signed the Coventry back to Coventry petition and I find that depressing.
Yep. It embodies the way society has gone; most people are ****s who justify their existence by moaning about every ****ing thing.
It's in danger of backfiring. It's insensitive and insulting. It's a cowardly way of expressing an opinion It's unpleasant. It doesn't change the fact that there are better players than Cleverly being overlooked.
