If we have reached the desperation stage that these player links suggest, then I'd rather Mario over Theo.
At least they'd be a good chance he'd lamp Jan Relegringo in the first couple of weeks, and that'll be worth the ticket price alone!

Balotelli is an anti-Saints player. The only reason to sign him is a desperate last ditch attempt to stay up....I can go with that, but if he was on a contract he would do something awful and leave us paying large wages for someone next season that we won't play.

It won’t happen as people have said because of his prior behaviour a few years ago. Been a model pro by all accounts at Nice. It also won’t happen as he will have far better offers.

Shame though as he is a brilliant player and just the type of striker we need

Despite all his issues he is a good player. Id make a wager with anyone on here that he he wont become a saints player

'Anti-Saints Player' - I've heard it all now. We don't have a special identity so lets stop pretending that we do, Lee Barnard, Osvaldo, Seaborne in recent memory behaved very badly at the club. Balotelli was young and wild, name an incident in the last 3 years that concerns you?

Can also throw in Steven Caulker, who managed to get himself banned from every nightclub in Southampton when he was here. Also, have seen & heard some things about some players you would least expect to have questionable off-the-field antics.

What did Seaborne do?

Still think Barnard had the best defence ever, wasn't it basically "I can't really remember what happened, one minute I had a glass in my hand and the next thing I remember the guys face was bleeding and so was my hand" <laugh>

Tried acting the big 'I am' in Junk and was thrown out. The altercation continued outside, and he ended up with serious head injuries.
