Lots of happy photos of Mario being happy... with happy Liverpool players. Far from upsetting the dressing room he appears to be providing a bit of comic relief at the moment. Hopefully it stays that way!
It's the honeymoon period. After the 10th time of snickering when BR says "penetration", that **** will get really old, really quick.
manford "hes he's a nutter; in my opinion, an endearing one. But he hasn't bitten anyone, touched up a sleeping girl on the bus or ran someone over and gotten away with it. Yes he's paid a s**t loads of money for 'kicking a ball' but if any of us could do it and get paid that much, we would snap their hands off. You only get paid what someone has decided you are worth. The fact that footballers earn more than nurses and our armed forces is a travesty, but it's society's fault, not Mario Balotelli's (or any footballer for that matter). " just one comment.... i think manford must be admitting soemthing here unless i've missed a specific case of footbllers fondling sleeping girls. I must say that its all about what he does with it on the pitch cos off the pitch i gree with most on here that we will get a pasting day one from the english press.
He's had mismatched boots in every photo. I wonder if he swaps them round or if right foot is always pink... or sometimes he wears the left pink boot.
I wonder how long a pair of football boots lasts for a professional footballer... if they wear them out quickly.
They all wore them in the World Cup http://www.footyheadlines.com/2014/01/puma-evopower-tricks-2014-world-cup.html - scroll down to see what Balotelli says about them
Interesting... I thought it was just down to Mario's eccentricity... I've seen players wearing odd boot combos before- didn't know that it was sponsor ordained. It doesn't look half bad really... Although, personally, I always pick out the least flashy boots I can. (gets harder as years go by... although stopped playing on astroturf because it wrecked my knee- and don't know any outdoor places to play here).
I noticed several players wearing them during the WC - thought they looked a bit weird, probably due to the colour choice pink/blue - no Liverpool players worn them as far as I know but being different colours at least Mario will know his right foot from his left I'm with you on the least flashy as possible, if your boots stand out and you're a rubbish player, it means you get laughed at twice. My brother had the George Best side-laced ones years ago but he's a great footballer [or was when he played].
I'm guessing mate you'd love them if Puma were paying you a good wedge to wear them, remember the knitted ones Suarez [had to] wear - I'm sure these players think 'what the .... ' but smile and put them on ... then smile some more when they see their bank balance!
If the goal is to stand out and be noticed (which it is for the pros) then its fine. I think it looks good on Balo! If the goal is to be fashionably sensible then they're awful. (I wouldn't wear them). It's like, wearing a 10 gallon Stetson and a rhinestone suit is fine if you're a country music singer in a country music bar... wear that down mainstreet and you're asking for someone to beat the crap out of you.
