I say you guys, guess who is back with pockets full of Kendal mint cake bars! Apologies for being away so long I stopped off near Skipton to visit White Scar cave and some other visitor attractions and ended up being away 3 days. Having left at 6.57 am on Friday morning just for old times sake and been delayed on the Motorways through 3 bank holiday accidents I ended up taking driving the first day for 11 hours!. Carlisle is always a disappointing place to visit and I think the next time (if we have to) I will take a blindfold for the last minute.

Did enjoy seeing the Scummers lose at St.Fairies on MOTD in the hotel, as I predicted on another thread!Feel free to comment Meowth as we are obviously very close according to our Scummer super hero!<laugh>

"Don't forget, with their German and Italian backgrounds, if the players do not perform on the pitch, it will probably be a court marshall and subsequent elimination by firing squad as an end result."

Careful WD! PompeyLaparse will decide you are racist! <laugh>

Lamparse? Why aren't you the witty one! <doh>

It's Beijing, not China, and it's a reference to a song by Katie Melua.

Talking of balloons popping, this on/off transfer of that Italian bloke is ,according to a source of mine, unlikely to happen now as he realises just how c rap the Scummers really are, and reckons they are relegation certainties!....<whistle>

    Dont shoot the messenger!<laugh>

Listen very carefully, I shall say this only once...........

I reckon Saints have got more chance of signing Rene Artois, than they have Gaston Ramirez :smiley-finger007:

The real laugh is of course that even were they to sign him a lot of these European sorts take at least a season to settle into the pace of the EPL. By which time they will be down and have wasted around £14mn plus (unsettling to other players such as Fat boy and Adam Banana) high wages. He may also, even if he went to the Scummers, just be an expensive flop!<laugh>LaS<laugh>

Woops it seems like they have actually signed him although somewhat comically he is said to lack any cosistency, should be a waste of money then, I can hear the chants from the opposition supporters now, and many of them there will be as the Scummers are arrogant sods!.PUP<laugh>

Circa. £14 million spent, plus £60,000 p.w. in wages on a "virtual unknown", and then Nigel Sadkins jetisons a decent, talented English player in Billy Sharp into the wilderness - oh dear, oh dear, oh dear !!

I hope Saints have written a clause into Gaston's contract, halving his wages when/if you get relegated........

No need to worry Woopert. None of our contracts are as criminally insane as the ones Pompey were handing out a few years ago;)

Oh dear Woopert the singing garbage and jealousy has got you :D
Relegation is always a possibility no matter how much you spend and let's not forget Admin as well.
I think we might end up spending 100 million plus on players. Get relegated along with admin, Then get caught with fixed rates on overpaid overrated player get relegated Again, Admin again, oh dear what will we do then ?
I know go back to the days of being jealous with envy on our neighbours down the road :D :D

That's over the period of 8 years, so roughly 12 million per year (on average) or 6 million per transfer window. That's hardly a lot really.

You've gotta admit, you've been spending a lot and plenty of players who have been highly rated have flopped so what makes Southampton immune to players flopping?
