Oh it does bring a smile to my face when you Pompey boys beef up the 657 and singing, :D
Calling people scum and skates is as pathetic as it goes and its no surprise singing comes top of that list.
It's great that there is a very passionate rivalry between the two clubs and it can bring out reactions from mostly quite thoughtful people but hopefully in time the real hate from some sections needs to fade away.

None of you blue rinse brigade have written to say how well young James Ward-Prowse played. Making his full debut against Man City this Pompey born lad will quickly become a legend in Southampton (fact is he is already for choosing us instead of his hometown team)

If we hit the heights that Cortese wants, a European place and success in cup competitions then keeping hold of our academy Prem players is possible but if we don't achieve that in a few years, the likes of Ward Prowse will no doubt move on.
I expect to see Southampton turning out quality academy players for many years, so I hope we progress as a club other wise we won't get to enjoy watching home grown quality on the pitch.

This is one hell of a busy thread about some-one jumping onto a balloon.

Next Week: Some-one sits on a whoopie cushion in Newpart Pagnal.

Such success is far from being an inevitability. Think of the FA Cup, we're still the only non-big four team to have won it since around 1996 or maybe earlier. If by Europe, you mean Champions League, that also far from being an inevitability, think of all the teams that have got into it in recent years, there's not many: Man U, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham and sorry but Southampton can't really compare to any of them.

It's Champions League, or bust, as far as Nicola C is concerned, Lapras.

Don't forget, with their German and Italian backgrounds, if the players do not perform on the pitch, it will probably be a court marshall and subsequent elimination by firing squad as an end result.

"Vell Mr Lambert, you have not lost the five stone of unsightly fat ve ordered you to lose, so it's curtains for you mein herr"............

I must back up Possum on this, he only said it was possible, we Saints fans have watched how Nicola Cortese has transformed the club from a sick joke to respectability in 3 short years and if the reports are true about the club's interest in Gaston Ramirez, then that shows an ambition at the club like never before. OK, Saints are not as big a club as, say, Spurs, but we are showing as much ambition as Everton in the transfer market and they are regularly in the top ten. We have a lot to look forward to at the present time and I just hope things can turn around for Pompey too, your fans have suffered enough and to have the club being run by people that care about it would be great for you even if the funds are not there for players, to just be competing and playing each week is surely enough for any passionate Pompey fan.

What a great chant by Saints fans to Herr Lambert, just before his public execution on the pitch before kick off. This could be followed by a mass exodus of fans from the ground, say in the 75th. minute of play........oh no, wait a minute, they have already done that one :emoticon-0105-wink:

What we need to do is get the HMRC and local charities to fund our campaigns and then we can join that elite bunch. It may cost us our club (unless some deluded supporters can take over), but we'll be able to brag about it on internet forums for years.........

even if he does go in a few years time, it will still be another 15 million in the coffers. That and the other 15 million from Oxo would have saved your club. Some guy on here is banging on about the FA cup, but the policy that won you the cup of buying older players with no resale value led in large parts to the **** you are in now.Instead of investing in the future, the then owners went for the quick approach. Much like QPR now, but they have an owner that HAS money

If you're refering to me, I'm not banging on about the FA Cup. I merely said we're the only non-big four side to win the cup in yonks, which is a fact. Like that there's 9 million bicycles in Beijing.

Unlike most of yours. Though at least you've gotten out of the habit of posting that mooning smilie at the end of every post, for someone of your age that was really quite immature.

So I am back from holiday, and there is this sense of deja vu about this thread. Tell you what. Why don't we ask Meowth (who as you know, has power-of-attorney for SB3) to post a generic SB3 thread every week including in a random order the expressions

Pony-fiddlers, getting stuffed by, Scummers, St Fairies,Pompey promotion and Scum relegation, etc.

To save time, I wonder if Meowth would be happy to post my reply automatically sometime later?

    It will be <doh>

If we throw in the equally predictable LD, they can have their own board as far as I'm concerned.

A cyber alternative to George Orwell's boot in human face, would be a thread by these two posting forever.

    Ponies

    Attendances

    S*****s

    Skates

    Poles

    Charities

    St Faries

    Falling down park.

We could call it the SLBD3 show.
