It's turned out far better than I expected. Really enjoying reading every (most) opinion.
Better by far than the beeb and a much more pleasant environment than SMB.
    Thanks, Syd.

I am enjoying this forum much better than 606 and, like a lot of people, had put in more postings than I did at our old address.

One thing I thought might help is, if there is some thread you don't want to read, for whatever reason, you have to go all the way down to the bottom to get to the previous thread/next thread button. Couldn't one be put at the top as well.

Thanks but no, not down to me at all. Its down to the posters who use it and in particular, IMO, people like those mentioned who add that little extra.

AW Syd ya old softy. :)

Said it al really, the forum is settling down, we can take the P out of each other with no falling out. <ok>

Only had one fellow Mackem call me a "nutter" when I was ripping a skunk a new one. :) who had abused my mother.
Trust me that should increase over time though, it's guaranteed some of you are going to hate me.. :)

The swearing filter works a treat, not a huge amount of posts with *****s in but it's nice to have the option. :)

You may have noticed I like the picture option too. :)

The moderation on our board has been spot on, IMHO. (Nice one Syd)

Lets keep it that way, lets not call for other fans to be banned, because lets be fair they aren't the sharpest tools in the box.
Having read you lots posts up to today I'm pretty sure we would self moderate and tell a fellow Mackem if he was getting close to the edge.

The banter has been great and I have truly laughed out loud at some of you guys comments.

My face is still sore off yesterday, my family thought I had gone mental I was laughing so much.

On a more serious note you all seem very knowledgeable and erudite about our great club.
I enjoy reading all your comments whether they be opinions on our present team or memories of teams in the past.
(My problem is I have trouble remembering last weeks starting 11, never mind who was playing 40 years ago when I was 15. )
As has been said Cest's posts are a bonus, both the WUM's and the serious ones as they usually prod some great memories from my alcohol addled brain. <ok>

Lets keep the serious threads where we can agree or disagree on our great team.
But lets keep the lighthearted ones too as I enjoy a laugh too. <ok>

As I have said before if I just wanted to talk about Sunderland I would talk to my mates. ( Yes I do have a few )

Keep up the good craic. <ok>

What a difference a week makes eh? And hardly a mention of the "B" word, how the mighty are fallen .<ok>

    Syd,

Your attempt at patronising is in vain - any more of this and you know where you will end up on Thursday morning!!

Seriously though, I'm jumping between both sites for the foreseeable future because some of the lads on 606 don't have access to this site, so it's good to see lots of familiar 'faces' as well as a few new ones.

I am baffled though why it's the 2 north-east clubs who have left the old 606 in such droves, whilst most other clubs have remained loyal?

    Any suggestions?

I manage that naughty step all on my own mate.

Hard to say why its the northeast clubs, maybe its because, despite our supposed hatred, we do like to be together.

Get yersell to Naivasha on a match day there are 7 converts to the light there and there is an open air bar on the corner of the main road leading to Diani beach in Mombasa with 3, will be there soon with another bag full of goodies from the Sunderland shop, for all my new converts, and don't forget that apart from Bardo Hendo and Gordon the rest of the team are coloured which makes conversion easier our lasses brother and sisters used to support different teams, even my lasses dad runs a Sunderland flag on his wagon and his L/rover.

As I said above I love the craic. if we had responded in kind and started deleting them on here, we could have missed yesterdays gore fest. :)

I'm very serious about this, we should start our own little SAFC organisation, with you as chairman of course. Been ages since I was in Naivasha, but I go to the coast fairly regularly. Will keep an eye out for the converts next time!

As a bit of a novice, I am also enjoying this forum. I would glance some of the stories on 606 and readytogo but never really part-take (I tried on 606, but with my dreadful propensity for cursing I got knocked back).

Anyway, keep up the good banter, stories and general tom-foolery.

I miss having people I can have a good laugh with, taking the p*** out of each other within reason. I was laughing my heed of the other day - helps with the dreary January days of -10 in good old Czech.

Gutted my live thread doesn't work. 2:2, blimey - sounds like a corker.

What a sanctimonious, knob-jockey Phil Thompson is mind. The entire planet clearly revolves around Anfield.
