End of his Wales career then. Shame he's chasing the money (seriously how much does he need) instead of chasing titles in a proper league.
If his contract at RM pays him £600k/w - c£350k/w after tax - then he could have ‘afforded’ a drop in pay to go elsewhere in Europe and continued to play at the ‘highest’ level. Rather, he’s decided to chase the buck ... or perhaps he’s accepted that he no longer cuts it as a top player in a top league? In China, he will be ‘The Man’ - perhaps he’s chasing the ‘fame, stardom and celebrity status’ .... as well as the cash!
Maybe he no longer trusts his body as he has become very injury prone and see's this as his best chance to get a hefty contract. Let's face it, another season at Madrid would only have seen his value fall. Still a huge waste of talent and I agree that it could well be the end of his Wales career - although his last few performances have warranted that anyway.
I thought he would have gone on to surpass Giggs as our best ever player. Will end up 3rd at best now imo.
Spurs would have taken him back in a heartbeat had he lowered his wage demands. Then again that twat from France wont be at Madrid much longer after getting tanked by Atletico 7-3 last night if things don't improve. Should stay at Madrid until Mourhino goes back in December
A million quid a week When will this all end..It is ruining football...I agree with Valley and would have sat on the bench until that idiot ZZ is sacked and someone with a brain takes over......I think his sacking is imminent myself...
Ronaldo stayed in Europe because he knows that this is where the history of football is made. Bale hasn’t played well for some time and his career seems to be ebbing away.
I have been told, that due to what has happened and the way he as been treated at RM, he has no feeling for football anymore and looking at his performances for Wales recently I can clearly see that is true. So that is why he has decided to take the Yuan. I don't get it but apparently he has his reasons. Was also told that a lot of these foreign players in china, when they leave cant get their money out of chinese banks or they can only take so much out of the country, which is going to take years to withdraw or transfer it all.
I read somewhere a few weeks ago about how it is with Madrid - the article said that you are told where to be, what time to be there, what to eat etc and that it sucks the feeling out of you that you had playing football as a kid. Apparently they were Bales words......
