Bale on his way

Discussion in 'Chelsea' started by CFC: Champs £launderx17, Jul 23, 2013.

  1. From where exactly has this idea developed that we "bottle it"? Bear in mind that Spurs has only been a serious contender for top 4 over only a relatively short period of time; that's hardly time to earn a reputation as "bottlers."

The real question that should occupy your intellect is whether, with the very real strength that Spurs will have in quality and depth come the new season, the likes of Chelsea, United and (especially) Arsenal will "bottle" their chances of a top 4 finish?

  2. Sorry, but I have to disagree with you, DL.

We have become too reliant on Bale, and that cannot be good for our team. Bale's genius has papered over many cracks in our squad, not least of all the weakness of our strikers. Selling Bale (or, at the very least, the possibility that Bale will go in the very near future) has forced Levy to address these issues now, as you have seen with our club-record purchase of Soldado. We are strengthening in other key areas, too; and if Bale goes, I'm certain that a large chunk of that money will be spent in purchasing either another 20+ goals' striker or a creative midfield/play-maker.

I genuinely believe that Spurs will be stronger in the post-Bale era.

If we are mugs you **** then why would you want to talk with us?? There is a growing feeling among the Chelsea fans that you are again causing too much disruption and you will be thrown off sooner than later. As for the 'overwhelming support' was in fact a close run thing and I still believe that it was a misguided decision.

Now after you have bought this board into disrepute you have the gall to call for Robby and my heads <laugh> You are deluded and are just hastening the decision that the mods will take. As for you anti-social behaviour and abuse we hopefully won't have to wait too long.

No go do one nonce. <ok>

Whether it's making excuses about having the ****s, blaming another team's keeper, or getting Alan Sugar to wum his own fans. The spuds always provide a unique way to bottle it each season, hand the incentive to Arsenal and give every Gooner a proper good laugh in the process.

God bless the delusional spuds, they are the gift that keeps on giving <ok>

  5. If by "us" you are referring to yourself and Robbie, I can't really talk to you, as much as I would like to. For a start, neither of you ever have anything to "talk" about; you're like a stuck recording of a "Derek and Clive" LP, with the needle continually jumping on all the swear words and missing out all the gags. It was quite amusing for a little while for a handful of people, I am sure, but it has grown exceedingly tiresome, now, Ozzie.

I have it on good authority that Bale won't be sold to Madrid:

We all know how water tight Sandy's predictions are and there is absolutely no way this one will come back to haunt him

  8. Are you kidding, PISSTAKE! £106m for any player is superb and cannot be refused.

Not that Real has made a bid of that magnitude or, indeed, any formal bid, at all. And not that Bale or Levy have come out and said anything on the subject to anyone. Not that the media is able to report anything to mugs like you that hasn't been fabricated by Real's PR machine.

If he goes, he goes for a lot of money, including (possibly) a couple of marquee players to further strengthen our squad. Under those circumstances, I'd be annoyed with Levy if he didn't take the deal. As much as I love Bale, no way is he worth the sort of money being bandied about (if it's all true), and we're unlikely to get another chance like this to strengthen our squad.

If you really think Levy will release all the funds to strengthen you are mad. He wants it to drag on to use the 'no time' excuse. Anyone can see that.

  10. Listen, if Bale stays, I'm happy; if Bale is sold for £105m, I'm happy.

This really is a win/win scenario for us.

You said that Levy won't sell him to Real as a matter of principal, so what difference would the fee make ?

So you'd sooner have Levy and Co pocket 100m than have Bale?

    I'd be mad as hell.

This was in response to him saying that we would piss our pants at the sight of the mighty spurs juggernaught and me telling him we've been pissing our pants laughing at it breaking down by the side of the road

    Sandy crack strikes again <laugh>

If you find it tiresome then you'll know what your options are then Sandy. <ok>

  15. Hey, Ozzie, being as you like to debate footballing matters (and in no manner, shape or form abide wumming), here is some actual news for you regarding the Bale affair. It's something that you won't have seen from any one in the news, so far - a quote from someone who knows more about this than the hack journos whom you seem to believe:-

"These rumours of an imminent transfer are not true. The only thing we have communicated with Real Madrid is that he is our player and he is not for sale." (AVB, speaking to reporters today)

I've highlighted the words that are the most important in this brief statement, because you (and others) seem to have had some difficulty in comprehending the situation in recent weeks.

  16. Chuckles, read the post that I made, above, in response to Ozzie. It tells you and every other pale-faced wum everything you need to know that is worth knowing.

I'm just waiting for another one of your predictions to come back and haunt you <ghost>

  18. I'm simply reporting what AVB has said.

If you know differently, spit it out and let's hear it.

Do you honestly believe that Levi and the board would trust the tea-boy who has trouble with any sort of plan-b anywhere near a situation like making alleged comments on the sale of the chimp? <laugh><laugh>
