Similar was said when we sent him Gary Megson's way at Wednesday - four games later he was back at Spurs Lodge.

Presumably you will be able to inform us to why he left Sheffield Wednesday ?? Or is this yet another of your personal putting two and two togther agin and making five over Bostock ?? Please tread carefully on this one as I happen to know exactly why he "was back at Spurs Lodge".

Some talent he has invested time in - Walker and Livermore are the obvious examples, and to a certain degree Caulker and Naughton - which is an improvement on some of our previous managers (for example, Jol's handling of Ziegler and Kaboul, Ramos' handling of Kaboul), although a lot of the time it does boil down to his idea of loaning them out and loaning them out until he thinks they're ready, rather than giving them opportunities to ease into the team.

On the subject of Bostock, it's pretty clear he's another Taarabt - he has talent, but his attitude is appalling and his professionalism non-existent.

I have to disagree there. He seems to be a totally different man to that one you are supposedly talking about. He is now a real family man and a devout christian with a much more level head on his shoulders. I hope he goes from strength to strength as he has taken himself in hand and that can only be applauded.

I can understand why HBIC felt able to repeat reports and rumours that have been ubiquitous about Bostock during his loans spells (cos they didn't seem to be pure speculation).

However, I'm very grateful that you're able to remind us that much of what we hear about Spurs from afar is very questionable and we really don't know as much as we'd like to think. In football journalism and forums and blogs there is often an awful lot of dot-joining that's done and I'm sure it leads to conclusions that are way off the mark much of the time.

And from a purely fan's point of view I'm glad to hear someone defending Bostock!

Sorry as I know you're from the old 606 but do you also have a position within the club? This might be common knowledge amongst many posters here but I'm not as regular as some.

(Unless I've had my prunes).

He was trotting around like he could make anything happen from anywhere again today. Needs someone to show him a video of Ronaldo this season so he can see that he's a long way off being good enough to take up that kind of role.

He is getting arrogant, cocky and big headed - not good. Needs to be brought down a peg or two I think.

Unfortunately, he is starting to believe his own publicity. Talk of Barca etc doesn't help of course, but it is disappointing to see this apparent attitude developing in a lad who seemed to have his feet firmly in the ground.

Maybe someone should take him back a couple of years and let him see how far he has come - but how far he also has to go!!

He is a massive - in some ways unique - talent in the game, but he is NOT irreplaceable as others have said.

He's forgotten what makes him a good player.
His contribution has been minimal for weeks.

Yet you're not clearing up the matter, instead deciding to act high and mighty and pretend that his poor attitude wasn't publicly cited by the managers of both Brentford and Hull for their not picking him and/or returning him early, when it was.

When Dave Jones took over as Wednesday manager, Bostock stopped getting picked - and, before he'd even selected his peg when he was back at Spurs Lodge, he was at Swindon and didn't walk into their first team by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, for most of his spell at Swindon he's been on the bench - often without coming on - and was even dropped from the squad for a couple of games. If he was the player he thinks he is, he would've been given a role in the team before their last couple of games.
