The Chelsea cancellation was very timely, perhaps the gods are on our side for once.

I just hope it's not too soon for all of them.

No one is really expecting us to win this game. It'll be soul destroying to see one of them go off with a repeat injury which ends up keeping them out for the season.

Reading SSN's app page, it says that Bale is considered fit enough to be in the squad, and that AVB has to then decide whether to risk playing him. Which would suggest that maybe he won't play the whole game.

It also says that Silva is a major doubt, as well as Aguero. I hope that's true about Silva, they're not as good without him, IMO.

Of course he's alright to play. He's the original beast.

No one is really expecting Man City to win either.

@2.34 (11/8) for Man City

Those are not "banker" odds (but I like them and may have a punt)

Great news, I don't think he was ever going to be fit for the start of the week so I didn't know what the fuss was with all that. Excellent to hear that from the sounds of things everything has gone to plan in terms of injury recoveries.

This of course is great news.,

Now here's an awkward dilemma:-

a) Does AVB risk agrevation to the injuries of Bale, Lennon and indeed Defoe, in order to win the game on Sunday out right. We're all aware that 3 points would do us the power of good right now.

Or

b) Does he (AVB) hope for the best on Sunday,..Using them (Bale, Lennon and Defoe) sparingly might be more prudent as far as total points gained by the end of this season are concerned. The main advantage is of course having all of them closer to 100% for the other 5 must win games.

IMO playing these players, in their existing state of fitness or non fitness, is not going to change the outcome of Sundays game....much. And any reoccurence of any injuries now for any one of them, would inevitably mean their season ends there on the pitch on sunday., as Roo has said earlier in this Thread........ I'd prefer to have them fully alive and well for the remaining fixtures.

Its going to be interesting to see where AVB goes with this one.

Someone else thinking the way I am. Also, the Bale and Lennon-less team did very credibly, 1 win and two draws away to Swansea and Basel and home to Everton. Seems like just the kind of team that might respond to the crowd by pressing Man City flat.

If they are fully fit, play them!,you have to play the best team possible, for a top 4 place!

Nasri seems to play a lot better when Silva doesn't play, not sure if its down to being over congested in the midfield area or not.

Maybe, not sure about that. I'd still rather see Nasri than Silva. Silva is one of the class acts of City's current side - makes it all tick.
