Maynard spent the six months at City playing like somebody who would rather have a needle stuck up his japs eye than skin a shinbone for the shirt. I look forward to hearing thousands chanting BALD - COCK, BALD - COCK to upset the modern day puritans at football now.
Thinking back to Maynards first season he wasn't too impressive, except for the first friendly, and so far Baldock has done well in a team that is really struggling if he can stay fit then I think he might develope into something special.
In fact he really was a one season wonder. As you said first season nothing of note, second scored all the wonder goals, third season injured for most of it and fourth, well not a lot more can be said about the big sulk. Good footballer but not an all round person.
All the commentators refered to him as a scorer of great goals rather than a great goal scorer and so it has turned out to be, Not sure how long he is out injured for this time but looks like Cardiff paid a lot for someone who isn't playing wonder if the sheep will get into the top pasture this year and if so will Maynard figure in their thinking in the promised land?
