In a move that will shock absolutely nobody, Franco Baldini has been confirmed as our club's new Technical Director.

"Franco is extremely well respected in the industry, possessing an extensive knowledge of players around the world," said Chairman Daniel Levy.
"He will strengthen our football management team, particularly in the field of recruitment, working closely with Andre Villas-Boas and Tim Sherwood across all levels on the playing side."

Sounds like a chief scout really, doesn't it?

wonder when his talksport interview is arranged for....
 
Surely he will want to announce his arrival with a bang. Hopefully something is on the table, or in the cupboard, or wherever it goes when its a done deal.
 
All the ITKs were saying that this wouldn't happen until the start of next month, at the earliest.
"Baldini's on holiday" appeared to be their mantra.
Expect some furious backpedaling today.
 
I only read yesterday that this would be announced at the start of the month! <laugh>

Great news though. Hopefully this'll mean the transfers will start happening!
