I think you'll find that the McLaren drivers weren't helped by the team, not the way you've put it. They have 2 of the best drivers in F1.

^ Well done Kyle on picking out that truly silly statement from Trilogy. Some people don't have a clue do they and merely just show what idiots they can be at times.

    Best Driver: Raikkonen
Worst Driver: No one. May have drove too aggressively but hey that's racing. Can't help but think though that if Lewis or Schumi did that they'd be penalised. Once again the FIA's consistency is terrible.
Best Rookie(Grosjean,Pic,Ricciardo,Vergne): Grosjean. What can I say. The second good race in a row. Making up for the sheer incompetence he gave us in the first two races.
    Best Team: Lotus
Worst Team: McLaren - dear oh dear. I would like to know what Lewis was thinking in his head with the cock ups in the pits. For such a great team the incompetence for that team to address it's issues is unacceptable. They let Lewis down badly today.
Best Overtake: Raikkonen had plenty. Beautiful race craft from the Finn.
    Funniest-moment: Can't think of any
    Most Surprising Result:
    Least Surprising Result:
Special Mention to: Felipe Massa. Drove brilliantly today amid so much criticism. Keep up this form Felipe! Also Schumacher from 22nd to 10th in a race where the standard was very high. He drove excellently and better than his team.
    Race Rating: 7.5/10
Best Commentator overall: Ben Edwards and DC again. Watched the race live on an internet stream as well. Always a pleasure listening to Brundle though but the BBC guys take it.

    • Best Driver: Hamilton - although this was heavily camouflaged by his team.
    • Worst Driver: Rosberg: his 'defending' was out of order - first against Hamilton and then against Alonso. (Although Alonso failed to pass, where Hamilton succeeded, Rosberg's defence was actually worst against the McLaren).
    • Best Rookie: Grosjean: a great performance.
    • Best Team: Lotus
    • Worst Team: McLaren. Disgraceful. Perhaps the first error on Hamilton's car damaged the thread: this might explain the second. But whatever the case, those two stops were critical and completely destroyed Hamilton's race.
    • Best Overtake: Some good examples such the di Resta's 'double', but Hamilton on Rosberg clinches it for sheer, gutsy determination - which required outrageously good braking to complete the move.
    • Funniest-moment: Schumacher's whinging interview about Formula 1: which I will paraphrase as 'a formula he clearly cannot get to grips with'. Actually; not funny so much as pathetic.
    • Most Surprising Result: Lotus so strong in the race.
    • Least Surprising Result: McLaren's disastrous pit-crew.
    • Special Mention: Schumacher: get out if you don't like losing, before you become an embarrassment.
    • Race Rating: 8/10
    • Best Commentator: Ben Edwards

If you were to have a gearbox problem in the first race, be crashed out by a rookie in the 2nd , have a wheel nut failure in the 3rd.. and have a DRS-gearbox failure again in the same weekend so you had to start 22nd, and then fight up for 10th.
I am sure you would be whinging if you could not put your foot down in the race. Hamilton - Raikkonen are two other examples, very attacking drivers who have lost out slightly because of the pathetic tyres given only for viewer entertainment, how are the drivers meant to show their true potential if one of the key tools are lacking in durability?
Raikkonen could have won the race today, but his one chance given by the tyres was not enough.. if you were watching this in 2008-2009 he would have been on the top step of the podium.
    And that's the truth.

-F1 is becoming more like a game of chess rather than a proper full blown race, and it's sad to see. Many fans agree with Michael, check the article on Sky Sports F1.

Rosberg got away free from deserved punishment today, but the "one move for defence" rule was completely shredded to pieces by nearly every driver on the grid. F1 is a mess at the moment.

Thanks for that fixing up above Miggins <ok>

Best Driver: Raikkonen - Great race, maybe he could have won, but 2nd is still a great result
Worst Driver: Ricciardo - I thought he was in for a good points finish, but i was a little wrong...
Best Rookie: Grosjean - Great comeback for Romain
Best Team: Lotus - Nice set up, and Tyres worked well, one mistake was not to bring in Raikkonen earlier or later
Worst Team: Mclaren - Mostly for their pit stops, absolute joke
Best Overtake: Raikkonen on Webber was sweet
Funniest-moment: Alonso trying to get a slip stream
Most Surprising Result: 2 lotuses on the podium
Least Surprising Result: Mercedes being weaker
Special Mention to: Paul Di Resta making a 2 stopper work
    Race Rating: 8/10
    Best Commentator overall: Brundle

The Pirelli tyres aren't stopping him putting his foot down and running a sprint race if that's what he wants to do. He just needs to run a different strategy. That's how the McLarens ended up on the podium in China. Schumacher's problem is that he wants to be able to determine everybody else's strategy so that he's not at a disadvantage.

I for one am much happier watching a race in which drivers have to think and manage the situation, pushing when appropriate, instead of just running flat out for the entire duration. Having a race determined in realtime by driver tactics instead of being preordained by pit wall strategy is far more satisfying. If the difference between a two-stop and a three-stop race is marginal then we get the great racing we've had this season instead of the processions Schumacher used to lead.

I think Schumacher is currently holding the award for the most unlucky driver of the season.

Massa didnt get worst driver!!!!! It's a miracle. Although i think people voted for Rosberg for being "dangerous" rather than bad. Ricciardo dropped like 12 places in one lap.

Unanimous vote for Grosjean. Near-unanimous for Lotus too, who disagreed and who did they vote for? I'm assuming Red Bull.

Also stunned that the race rating average is so low, I thought it was a cracker. Petered out a bit towards the end but still!

I did not put Lotus as best team (I put Red Bull), I actually put Lotus as the worst team <laugh>.

Reason for this was while yes Mclaren cocked stuff up a bit, their mistakes only costed them a few more points for Hamilton but that is all. I felt though that Lotus could of won the races if they had wanted to but were too timid to try and do so. They could of done this two ways; one was to let Raikkonen passed Grosjean straight away (he was clearly faster and by not doing so all they did was hold Kimi up for a few laps and prevent them from winning), if they had done this then Kimi would of jumped Vettel. The second way was that they should of brought Raikkonen a lap earlier to try undercut Vettel (the previous pitstop Kimi had pitted a lap before Vettel and took out almost 3 seconds of Vettel's lead), however despite having new tyres compared to Vettel's scrubbed tyres Lotus were too scared to try it because of what happend in China. Lotus even said after the race that they did not want to get too greedy and try and win the race, which to me is completely ridiculous for a F1 team to say.

So while Mclaren's mistakes cost them a few more points, Lotus' mistakes cost them a possible race win, which is why I chose them as the worst team.
