The run in for Newcastle and Sunderland after tomorrow's derby - Well, if we don't beat Sunderland, then we will be very lucky to survive. Strange how it's worked out in that Sunderland play Everton when we play Watford on may 11th and the fixtures are reversed on the last day of the season!!! I see Guan handed Swansea victory this evening!!!
If we beat both Newcastle and Sunderland, I am 100% confident we will stay up. A win and a draw I think will still leave us relatively well placed, so I am not sure we HAVE to beat Sunderland - if we draw with them we will just need strong other results. Two draws wouldn't be a guaranteed disaster, but we would then be relying on both of them relegating themselves. I still think Sunderland have the toughest run in. Pulis will demand a better performance in Sunderland's match after the derby, and so tomorrow's match aside you'd think they would be odds on to pick up no more than four or five points (mostly against us...) Newcastle's run in is deceptively tough, but much could change - will Tottenham be fighting in that last match? They basically HAVE to win tomorrow (and I think after a draw this would be the best result for us), but then they are going to struggle to pick up anything (again, apart from our match) until Palace. With a bit of luck, Palace could get dragged right into the mix by the time they play Newcastle 30 April!

Once again you and Dave are missing the point. Today was a great result and gives us a fighting chance, (albeit a slim one) of survival. It doesn't alter the fact that yet again our club have purchased a turkey, Naismith was a complete and utter waste of £8.5M (count those pounds). We simply should not be spending that sort of money on players of that age regardless of ability in their youth, total folly.
I would like to see more opportunity given to products of our youth academy instead of them forever going out on loan (OK, it may take a few more years for the investment to pay off) and as for signing SN for that sort of money, I feel we would have had a far better ROI by upping our bid for Afobe, but that's 'water under the bridge' now!!!!
Swans fan , your win today doesn't help us any but Norwich are better than the results they've been handed . Not surprised by the win today and certainly won't be surprised if you stay up . I won't say good luck , but I will say well done today
Good of you to say that, but, we've managed to beat ourselves on so many occasions this season and only now seem to be learning from our mistakes, I just hope it's not too late.
I've had a vested interest in Norwich , for my own greedy reasons. , and have streamed quite a few games and think you've been playing pretty well without anything to show . My theory is the Liverpool loss , the cruelest I've ever seen and I'm not young , totally knocked the sh:t out of the whole club from top to bottom . I believe it even had lingering responability for the lose to Villa . But , you have a great win over a pretty good West Brom team to get the ball , possibly , rolling again Also , Palace have a tough schedule left and might get dragged into the fray
Losing 6-2 at Newcastle didn't help! The Liverpool game was our own fault, 3-1 up at half time and cruising, stupid silly errors at the back gifted the Scousers that game. What's going on with your manager? I see he's being linked with the Italy managers job?
I don't understand all this negativity about Naismith after just 6 games. He's an AM not a striker and he gives experience and calmness when we're under pressure - much like Gary O'Neil in that regard. Neither is perfect, or even WCT contenders, but they do bring something different to the team. O'Neil gives the ball away too often for my liking, but he's a battler and that's what we need right now, especially with Tettey out for the rest of the season. Naismith has been out injured and only had one training session this week before coming on as sub, but he still nearly finished off today's game with an excellent through ball to Howson that could have produced a second goal. I for one am glad we have him and if he helps keep us up, then it will be money well spent.
Well most of the fans would drive him to Italy for that job , most are so mad they would even attempt the channel . I think he is a good manager with little time to put his stamp yet . If we were to get a new manager come summer , it would be our 4 th among 25 games . Pretty tough on the players juggling managerial ideas and I would fear for next year frankly . But we have to stay out of the bottom 3 first I suppose .....cheers guys

I wasn't intending an either/or choice. They both have their advantages and disadvantages. My heart was in my mouth when O'Neil made that diabolical pass gifting the ball to Sessegnon for a clear run on goal. Thank God Bassong saw the danger and did enough to prevent a goal. Had that gone in we could well have lost yesterday. That happens too often with O'Neil for my liking, but I admire his battling qualities and leadership in front of the defence. For me, it's still early days for Naismith, but I do like the way he links up naturally with the strikers, Mbokani in particular. He could do more at times, but I do think he will score or assist some vital goals in the run in. My opinion anyway.
Opinions is what this site is all about, everyone see's things differently. The bit about O'Neill giving the ball away, I think Wes does that far to often. But the chap who sits in front of me would aggressively disagree with me on that. Hey Ho. Very happy with the win hoping it's not been left too late for us to escape the drop!!
