Well that's nice -- the thought of a happy GM I mean. It's a distinct possibility  <ok>

I wonder whether the West Ham fans felt losing to us 3-1 was a tonking! Certainly West Brom fans were not at all happy to lose 2-0 to us at home. All of these things are relative in the vagueries of the PL!

I'm not sure that I'd consider anything less than a 3 goal margin a tonking! I think scale of disappointment though goes with expectations. I.e. WBA would of expected to beat a Norwich side, who regularly hoist the white flag as they hit the Norfolk boarder, ergo it's like a 3 goal swing and really bloomin pony in their view!

    Bah!

GM was very happy when we beat WBA! If we beat the swans tomorrow I'l. Not be much use at work on Monday!

    Bah!

I'd also like to see a happy GM tomorrow, but then I think we'd all be happy if a win puts us up to 11th, or even 10th if Villa get nothing against ManUtd tomorrow. Fingers crossed! OTBC!

Yeah, it's definitely relative to me. If we beat Man City 2-0 when they're expecting to try and beat their last total against us, then even if it's only 2 goals it's a massive disappointment.

Gracious me! Not only contemplating being happy, but producing genuine pearls of wisdom too! Level of disappointment a function of expectation? How true! Keeping one's expectations realistic certainly avoids unnecessary disappointment. Every member of this board should stick a note to this effect on his/her keyboard. <ok>

    So that's Steve Clarke sacked.

Think they should have given him longer, will be interesting to see who Fulham and West Brom will get in, there's not a lot of choices.

Thanks, didn't know that. Guess the new manager isn't helping them much lol.

Appears not, and to be honest he was one I had on my list if we got rid of CH.
    Maybe a bullet dodged!

That's bit hard on him isn't it? 1 win against fellow strugglers and a tonking at the hands of the league's form team? <ok>

Not being harsh but it's not a quick fix people seem to think it is.

He might get Fulham out of trouble, but do supporters have the patience now?

I guess most of the doctors and nurses amongst them do ;)

I think he's a potentially very good appointment for Fulham, they've got a pretty good squad so if he can use his (supposedly considerable) tactical nous to get the best out of them I think they'll finish mid-table.
