I simply meant there were no huge transfer fees that might have taken the board's breath away, that's all! Can't get any cheaper than a freebie! (in theory!).
Does not seem to have stopped other clubs signing multiple players or us signing Smith from Oldham. It is quite irrelevant other than a small number of players holding onto what they have hoping for a renewal from their present clubs. As written elsewhere, BM has his targets lined up, had talks with them and agreed on principle to signing them subject to board approval. Now what?
I don't actually remember him saying he had 7 signings lined up. He said we were in contact with 7 players which to me means an entirely different thing
