Yeah, but when they off days, they get helped out by the refs... but we get robbed by them! Our respective matches this weekend are evidence of that...
It was def the worst ive seen us play in the league all season, take nothing away from palace they more than deserved to win they were head and shoulders above us in all departments, even taking into account the clown of a ref. The thing that concerns me the most, is our obvious lack of quality up front, Nugent has been a bit hit and miss this season, Vardy has not yet come to terms with the better quality defenders in the championship, and has def yet to convince me that he ever will, and Waghorn to be honest is just s***e, i don't know a great deal about futacs, but he can't do any worse, Schlupp is still young and learning so who knows. I'm gonna be hoping that come may, this lack of quality dosn't cost us dear, and we end up falling short of our target.
Looking at the highlights it seems we had the most decent chances (although their last one was alot more clear cut). Nvm, hopefully we will bounce back as long as the next ref can tell a hand from an arse
.. as I said on the Brighton thread .. it's no use creating 16 or so shots on target if we only convert 1 .... we need to improve the conversion to one in 5 or better ... Nugent is not a natural finisher despite his fairly recent hat-trick ... Andy King probably converts the most ... very good in a midfield player but we need that from at least one of the front boys - I'd love to see Schlupp given a proper chance - he scored shed loads as he came through the ranks ...
I second a call up for Schlupp in the short term, but ultimately, there's no escaping the truth - without a goalscorer, we may struggle to finish in the top two.
It will be our downfall this season, very true. Not quite sure who we could look at. It's paramount that if we're going to be successful we need to be in the top 2 in the JTW as we would be in a very good position to buy who we want.
