Ozil is just pure quality, I just love watching this guy play football, he has his own style and the fact that the British media continue to slate a player of this quality, tells you more about their mentally and why the English national team is in the gutter, those morons have only found out that Carrick is rather good and should be played in CM for England, they simply do not understand players of this quality, the rest of Europe does.
Agreed. Ozil was pressing from the front and was also running back to help out in defence - don't know how far he ran yesterday but was immense. As to his offensive input he was always probing and looking to open up their defence, and great free kick.
I have to side-eye anyone that sees a player like Michael Owen as a football great... Ozil is a gorgeous footballer. We had Zidane, we had Iniesta, Ozil is of that ilk and can rise to become great like them.
