I'm not impressed by Roy Rodgers. He's done for 'Pool exactly what any manager should be able to do, at an absolute bare minimum, which is get them 7th spot. Had he done for 'Pool what AVB is currently doing for us, which is punching above our weight, then I would have been impressed. He's merely a bog-standard manager. Okay, so he's not as dreadful as I thought he might be, but that's hardly an accolade.
Three guesses which forum user (calling them a "poster" is a lie of epic magnitude) neg repped me for this?
I think I've been neg-repped by just about every Mouser on the site. It's something that I am particularly proud of.
I don't know why he goes on our board, he rarely contributes and clearly just gets wound up by what he reads.
I just don't understand it, NSIS. When you've gone to all that trouble to give him a cool and funny nickname, you'd think he'd be pos-repping you! I think Tool65 is my nemesis. I can't understand why, though.
I still remember that Pardew thread on here last season. I got neg repped, called rude and said to arrogant. Why? for stating Pardew wasn't capable of replacing redknapp, and he would fail to sustain his "success" with newcastle, also hes tactically weak, wiho couldnt be taken serious as a contender for a bigger job. Needless to say I never heard from the geordie fan again
Laudrup and Clarke have impressed me. Working with below average (and mostly average players in fairness) yet performing more than admirably and playing good football with it. Doing things "the right way" in my opinion. O'Neil and Hughes have been laughing stocks. Hughes more so than O'Neil but both have spent considerable amounts on good talent yet have performed woeful. Resulting in both being sacked.
I find the recent injury problems make me feel safer in giving high marks to AVB. Third when Bale and Lennon got hurt (after kaboul and Sandro got hurt) is pretty impressive. He would have lost a lot of support if he screwed up the race for a CL spot, but that now looks beyond his power to do.
