If the site does go down and we don't know for how long, some of us may find a back up facility useful, particularly if we are running a competition. The main options considered were Twitter and Facebook. It didn't seem appropriate to look at an alternative horse racing forum.
It soon became apparent that the easiest to use for a competition was Facebook and a trial competition was run successfully on that media on Saturday 5th March 2016.
So, in the event of the site going down, here is our backup facility
https://www.facebook.com/groups/1771656753062824/
Please note though, this is a Secret Group, available only to users of the Not606 Horse Racing Forum who have signed up to it. To do that you need to have a Facebook account and send a "Friend Request". You will then be invited to the group and you can then, if you prefer, "Unfriend". Please PM me/Oddy if interested.
Of course, the site may not go down for another 2 years; or it could be next week. We don't know. The last down time came out of the blue. So, if you want to stay in touch when the forum is not available, join the Not606 Horse Racing Facebook Group now, or make a note of it in case you need it later
Cheers
