Dragon we know how much we spent in the last transfer window but if you like we can have a little look at how much you spend this time around.

Where is the money going if you are not spending any?

jck

Who says we are not spending? our modest 15 Million after all expenditure will obviously go back into the squad and ground at some point, we have also spent Millions on Academy facilities and status, and a new Training centre at Fairwood, Gower, for the first team squad.

Phil - get Huw to actually show you the dosh - then come back and say you've got it stashed.

"You don't half make me laugh on times, you really do."......<laugh>

All declared each year to HMRC. You do now HMRC don't you.?....................<laugh>

Don't think there's many on here worrying about you Bony - we've enough to worry about ourselves thank you. Anyway, a few on here wont be worried about you because there's probably think there's no need, but the majority because they couldn't care less. <ok>

Being "in profit" can be a very transient thing.

There's more than enough historic "bad" figures thrown at our issues by Swansea posters who look for the worst set they can find. The apparent bad spending on Cornelius and Brayford is all the rage at the moment in the press - let's se how your figures look this year after you've blown that £12M on your fat striker. If he doesn't propel you into the top half for a decent Prem cash payout, that gamble could hurt.

Never mind though, you can flog Michu to balance the books. You pulled an ace out of the pack flogging Allen to the scousers for a ridiculous £15M last time, but that sort of luck is rarely repeated, and you haven't got any real money behind the club as a backstop.

We may well have to take a hit on Corny, but you could even take a bigger one on your lump up front. <ok>

Well what would you prefer ,take a chance on a striker who scored 31 goals last season in a pretty decent league or on a kid who to be honest hasn't exactly set the world alight to date . Who in your current squad if sold would make more than you bought them for or developed from within.Chaulker probably is only one of few who will increase his value other than that ?
Yes were't we fortunate that Liverpool came in for Allen ,we replaced half of our squad on what we sold him for ,, good business I'd say and with Ben Davies just signing an extension to his contract who's to say he won't go for a tidy sum , there's very few home grown left backs in the country and he's progressing really well so his values soaring .( we've still left with Taylor who's recovering well from his injury).
.To remain in the league this season regardless of the final position will be more than worth the club's investment can you honestly say the same about yours .? You say we don't have "real " money behind the club ,no more or less than you have to be honest ,When's Tan going to right off the current debt .If he leaves where will that leave you ? Multimillion pound investors don't grow on trees whereas if our Board decide to up sticks we'll still be better off and with a controlling stake in the club left in the club I think we'll be ok
I can understand when you say the majority couldn't care less about us ,you've enough worries of your own .:big grin:

Then again neither of us are Bolton
