    Too right!

But I wouldn't have Henderson as AM - he's clueless around the 18 yard box. Let him burst from the middle and make those runs into the box.

Have Lallana at the number 10.

I agree henderson's main asset is to run like F and press and close down.

    he's a hassler not a playmaker.

To me Sterling looks very unnatural as a striker. A bit awkward in fact.

  4. That's because Burnley have more goalscorers than us, we've only got one and he's constantly injured!

Ditto Markovic. Both flatter to deceive if stationed upfront. In an extremely false niney way.

You mean neither of them can hit a cows arse with a banjo?

  7. Don't need them to, OG and Pen can score them all :)

Both injured by the look of things. Opposition Left buttock and starfish dive nearly saved the day yesterday like....

They dont quite get in the right positions. They have been trained to delivery the ball, not receive it.

  10. But for a student of the Fergie referring association...

  11. How do they deliver a ball if they're unable to receive it...

Other than Lambert who else would you put in to score goals then?

Yeah,he hasn't got the natural finisher in him. Get him wide to isolate defenders

Your suggested midfield of Lucas, henderson and Can is overkill. Donkey, mule and horse not needed at the same time.

Look at my suggestion on the first page for a better idea.

  16. You mean when you agreed with the OP and never suggested a line up?

A DM with 2 strong runners ahead to close down quickly and get forward with Coutinho/Lallana ahead to add creativity. Your original point was about lack of goal... so enlighten me who you'd put in to supply the goals?

  18. When everyone is fit...

    Migs
    Flanno - Toure - Sakho - Moreno
    Lucas - Can
    Hendo - Coutinho - Sterling
    Sturridge

    Second strong would be...

    Jones
    Mankiller - Skrtel - Lovren - Enrique
    Gerrard - Allen
    Lallana - Suso - Markovic
    Lambert

With Johnson, Borini and Balotelli remaining plus a few youngsters.

442 diamond works.. why change it? Sturridge isn't as good upfront on his own as he wonders and leaves us short in the middle.

    Mig
    Flanno Toure Sakho Enrique
    Lucas
    Can Henderson
    Sterling
    Sturridge Balotelli

  20. I agree about the diamond but I went 4231 because we only have one forward of note! You'll see I didn't pick Balotelli in the second team either (I edited).

That team is alright. If we play FF though, you'd want a new CB, DM and CF to replace the highlighted. For example, add Hyypia, Mascherano and Bellamy (three ex-LFC players for ease of argument)...

    Mig
    Flanno Hyypia Sakho Enrique
    Mascherano
    Can Henderson
    Sterling
    Sturridge Bellamy

...and it looks much MUCH better. And I've not exactly gone totally fantasy football with those players have I...? I'd argue we'd still need a CM too but I'm willing to give Can a chance. Also harsh on Lucas but his days are numbered.
