Dear 606rs
I moved to the UK 6 years ago and wanted to take my son to see football. Chelsky ? No way. Foolham ? Boring. So QPR it is...
What i found is incredible: pure passion for football, humanity (Brix tribute above all, Irish R's gathering) and intellect ( not always). Needless to say that i now have a season ticket(5th year) and my son grew as a proper R fan. Thanks to everybody for the contribution.

Ps. Title not offensive but highlights a virtue long gone in the country I come from.
 
Welcome mate. As said above.........once you wear the blue and white hoops there's no going back!
 
I'm not sure if "welcome" is the correct greeting as I can see that you signed up in May 2001, but welcome all the same.

Is the S a clue as to where you are from? So go on, pull up a chair, plump up a cushion, pour yourself a glass of your prefered tipple and tell us a little bit about where you're from, your favourite players and expectations for the season.
 
SPQR was the motto of the Roman Republic.

Not sure why it shows 2001 as my signing date. Most probably a typo error.

Why has LR gone so quiet lately ? It should be roaring yet at times you can hear the players breathing. Should block R be moved as someone hinted in a previous thread ? Cannot be outsang by Barnsley heroic dozen.

You don't need to be a Rhodes scholar to dismiss the first two but it does take some class to identify Queens Park Rangers as the jewel in the crown.

Strange point that one. It really does depend where you sit. I sit in PU and there have been games where people have moaned that it has been too quiet yet it seemed fine to me. I once sat in South Africa Road and I could vaguely hear the R block who I am sure were feeling they were filling the ground with noise. If I was in charge of the new stadium, I would ask the designed to amplify noise from the home stands and dampen noise from the away end. Just a thought, Tony, in case you are reading!!
