Blackpool coming to life. Don't concede now or it will be a nervous half an hour. Need another to put this game to bed
I am glad we caught them at the start a real nerve jangling last 10 mins, Stockdale doing an Allsop getting booked for time wasting. Ipswich v Peterborough & Pompey v Sunderland on Saturday. With tonights win 50pts & safety, we should pick up a few more points over the next five games with what looks on paper not too difficult games
I have to tell you this. Tonight our game was put back half an hour because of road problems and crashes in and around Plymouth. My son made the comment that Wycombe will be pee'd off not finishing last tonight. Feck me shock horror and we put the scores up on his phone after our game and we got to the club for a beer you were still playing. I think it's a bit drastic getting an Air Ambulance in just so you can maintain your record. Given his original comment he was genuinely shocked to find himself wrong once again.......... Is there no dark arts Ainswroth will stoop to?
Well oh what a night left the house at 5.45pm drove the 47 miles down to the ground parked up and sat in the car for a bit waiting for the team to be announced thought thank god Samuel and Freeman are playing great we have goals in us tonight had a beer in the bar then left to go into the ground low and behold the turnstiles were closed and there was talk of the game being delayed so tried to go back into the warm bar but by then it was full so got a burger and waited seeing the air ambulance landing on the pitch thought about going home but waited for more info the ambulance left just after 8pm with the blue lights flashing but no siren so the casualty was on board there was a rumour that the game would kick off at 8.30pm I thought no way the helicopter was still on the pitch and the turnstiles were still closed but knew the game would go ahead as the people who went into the ground early were still inside helicopter took off about 8.15pm and the turnstiles opened I thought it will be another 30 mins until kick off so as the bar was now emptying I went inside for a warm and a beer went into the ground about 8.35pm the players were still warming up and the kick off time was confirmed as 8.50pm then two goals within the first 10 mins and finally my cockles were starting to warm then I was hoping we would stick 4 or 5 past them so I could sneak off early but that wasn't to be so I left with a minute of added time left on the clock and got past the main gates when the roar went up for the full time whistle then the rush to get back to the car and the drive home arrived at 11.45 well pasted my bed time job done
Tonight’s Man of the Match, chosen by @sports_rooms, was @Alex_Samuel95. Well done, Alex Samuel well deserved
With deep regret, we are saddened to report that supporter Mark Bird - who fell ill before last night's game - passed away later that evening. Our thoughts are with his family and all who knew him. Rest in peace, Mark.
